II. RATIONALE
Education has a predominant role in fulfilling our aspirations in life. May it be through
Inclusive Education and Special Needs Education and whether it is in a public or private
institution, its main agenda is to make us knowledgeable and less ignorant. The growth of
social awareness on the plight of the less fortunate persons with disabilities has led the
government to facilitate opportunities for them to develop their full potential in school
especially in inclusive education so that they can live independently while enjoying their
rights and privileges as human beings. As we give value to diversity along with considering
the uniqueness of everyone, this will forge strong bonds to aid in the exploration of one's
passion, talent, and capabilities.
Amidst the pandemic, a new normal type of schooling is the choice in continuing
education as it immerses the rights of both educators and learners through implementing
special and inclusive education in a new normal system in a safe environment. The current
situation that we are experiencing has taken a toll in our lives especially on our mental
health and this is a great time to remind everyone that even though the aftermath is beyond
our control, we can still create something that will make us realize our value as we focus on
improving social inclusion, becoming social activists who challenge stigma and
discrimination and promote societal well- being. The goal of our webinar is to uphold the
purpose to strengthen, awaken, and be versed in the importance of mental health and
related issues and diseases, giving outstanding focus on the adjustment, management, and
yielding care in one's mental and emotional aspect. As we ascend for our goals in life, this
webinar will serve as a reminder that we are all capable if we have the eagerness to
discover our potential with appreciation towards others regardless of all our differences.
