8. Mr. Alvin Fuentes initiated to conduct the group collaboration via messenger chat and video
conference. All the members of the group participated actively to complete the given task.
Activities that took place during the group meeting are:

 The conversation was started by Sir Marky Osorio’s question about the meaning of Dep Ed
Vision. Each member of the group (Sir Jomar, Ma’am Eliza, Sir Alvin, and Ma’am Amelia)
agreed that the Deped vision implies that every Filipino learner should show nationalism
and patriotism to our country by studying its own history and contribute to the countries
progress.

 The second question involved on how we (teachers) fulfill our mission as the Department of
Education in delivering quality, equitable, culture-based, and complete basic education and
provide our learners a child-friendly, gender-sensitive, safe, and motivating environment as
stated in DepEd Mission. Ma’am Eliza and Ma’am Amelia insisted that in fulfilling the DepEd
mission, teachers should facilitate and constantly nurture learning which is appropriate to
the needs of students also administrators should create good school environment that
enable supports for effective learning. Sir Jomar also added that we can attain this by being
considerate to our students and by understanding their present situation most especially in
this time of pandemic.

 For the third inquiry, Sir Marky asked, “In adopting these as our 4 core values, what does it
mean to be “Maka-Diyos”, “Maka-tao”, “Makakalikasan”, and “Makabansa” in the context
of the Department of Education?”. Sir Alvin answered The Core Values teach us to have love
for God (Maka-Diyos), love for fellow men or others (Makatao), love for nature (Maka-
kalikasan), and love for the country (Makabansa). Every program or co-curricular and extra-
curricular activities done in school must be guided by the said values. And rest of the
members shared the same point of view and agreed on this response about the four core
values.

 Next in the topic concerned is about RA 9155. Sir Marky asked about the rationale,
purposes, and objective of this act. Sir Jomar proposed that RA 9155 talks about the
importance of basic education and it enumerates the various functions of our Deped
personnel like the supervisors and even school heads. This law will give us insights on their
major functions in the educative process. All the members have similar perspectives about
this act.

 Consequently, the fifth question is about the goals and objectives of Philippine EFA 2015.
Ma’am Eliza enumerated the six goals of Philippine EFA 2015 and to sum it up Sir Jomar
pointed out that one of the key objectives of EFA is to provide education for out of school
youth filipinos.

 And lastly, all the members of the group conceded that the relationship between well-
managed schools and social progress is that establish strong positive relationship both
school and society to create lifelong learning skills to reach their full potentials to become
contributory citizen of the country.

9. The encoder will encode, edit, and make presentation about the output tasked to them.
10. The secretary will send the outputs to the professor.
