Course Number and Title: Values Education 10 (Man and His Morality)
Course Credit: Teacher: 2 units Students: 0.7 unit
Course Component:
Course Description: Values Education for Grade 10 is designed to help the students in strengthening the positive values they already
possess, improving the values that need to be improved, applying these values in their lives not only for their own
good but for others’ as well.

DepEd Core Values Maka-Diyos, Maka-Tao, Maka-Bansa and Maka-Kalikasan.
IDS Objectives 1. To produce self-directed and research-oriented graduates who will be academically prepared for the
professional programs of the institute and other leading institutions in the Philippines.
2. To develop the student’s potentials towards the realization of a self-actualized individual.
3. To inculcate the values of teamwork, accountability, commitment, excellence, integrity, and uprightness of
character
Course Goal: Upon successful completion of this course, the students are expected to:
1. Appraise the core of their being --- the moral, divine and natural law governing their actions,
2. Establish interconnectedness between themselves and the universe,
3. Deepen their good values and their relationship with God, themselves, their fellowmen, and the world
around,
4. Rediscover and identify the Filipino values and bring these in harmony with their daily existence,
5. Recognize and relate their dignity, rights, duties, and responsibilities in shaping a transformative citizenry,
6. Choose to become enlightened, critical, responsive, accountable, participative, law-abiding, transparent,
and vigilant citizens,
7. Promote positive nationalism,
8. Uphold gender consciousness in terms of equality in rights and dignity of men and women,
9. Demonstrate and promote empathy, social conscience, and concern for others,
10. Nurture strength in spirit to be able to persevere and endure the hardships and trials in life,
11. Support that, indeed, life is precious and that we do not live for ourselves alone,
12. Develop and demonstrate willingness and ability to use knowledge and reason for moral choice,
13. Recognize the limitations of knowledge and reason,
14. Be able to apply knowledge, reason, and concern for others as a morally upright individual in the ever-
