Teaching Modality

REFLECTION (Day 1)
Speaker: Dr. Amelinda D. Marmol, Ph. D.
Topic: Teaching Approaches Methodologies and Strategies in the 21st Century

Education is a long learning process a lot of changes happened. We are about to
changed in the midst of pandemic a lot of platform use to adopt in the needs of our
learners but all of this is just a platform what is important we give heart to the need of
our learners they were the one suffered in this abrupt changes so lets open our mind to
give more wisdom a heart that could understand and a hand willing to help. Lets all
create the new normal set up for our student to get along and give enough time for us
educators to learn more on the academe.

REFLECTION (Day 2 AM)

1st Speaker: Dr. Ailene A. Canoy
Topic: Getting and Staying Organized During the Pandemic

The topic in this session is not just for teachers but for all the people. Everyone should
know how to be organized and this session helped me realized the things that needed
to be decluttered in my life. On the positive side, it helped me to evaluate the important
things that I thought were petty.

I am so glad that during the evaluation, my relationship, work, family and well-being are
considered organize. Truly not perfect, but I am trying. On the sad note, I was evaluated
that I need improvement in handling my health. In terms of money, I am reminded that I
need to move forward with my plans to invest. I am the type of person who makes a
minimal effort in saving money because I am busy trying to have a good life.
The last part was a big reminder for me: being organized is being in control.

REFLECTION (Day 2 PM)

2nd Speaker: Dr. Christened Arbee C. Pasion
Topic: Omnibus Rules on Appointment and Other Human Resource Actions
(ORA-OHRA)

Dr. Arbee Pasion discussed the Omnibus Rules on Appointment and Other Human
Resource Actions (ORAOHRA). It enlightened me on the rules regarding promotions
and other appointments. She also gave us some cases in which the rules are applied.
Also, she has a visual presentation of all the documents needed in a promotion. She
also managed to answer all the questions raised to her by my co-teachers.

REFLECTION (Day 3 AM)

1st Speaker: Ms. Benilyn L. Abay-Abay
Topic: Effective Techniques in Finalizing the Development Plan (Part IV of
RPMS)

I have learned that, in accomplishing the development plan which is Part IV of the
RPMS, we, teachers should be honest with ourselves. In my experience, most of the
time I just write anything that comes into my mind whenever I accomplish this part. It is
because I thought that it is not important. But in this session, I have appreciated and
learned that it really is substantial. This session reiterated that strengths are the
competencies which I demonstrated and areas that I have met expectations. Therefore,
I should be writing honestly so I can consistently do it again on the next year. Also, this
session thought me to be honest in writing the things I lack on the school year so that I
can put effort in improving it next year.
REFLECTION (Day 3 AM)
2nd Speaker: Dr. Evelyn R. Obo, LPT
Topic: Principles Teacher's Supervision and Development
I believed that everyone loves how the speaker discussed the topic. As one of the
teachers said “nagising ako”, it really is an eye-opener to all of us. I love how she put
her shoes as a teacher, supervisor, and administrator. She perfectly explained and gave
real-life examples on the Principles of Good Supervision and Development. She also
gave us tips to prepare on classroom observation and I admire her in this part especially
the “selective listening”. Listen to the positive and negative things but don’t let the
negatives ruin you. The last part is the best, “Good teachers become the best that can
be if they are supported, mentored and empowered. They cannot give what they do not
have.”
