INTRODUCTION
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What is TOEFL® ITP?
The TOEFL® (Test of English as a Foreign Language) ITP (Institutional Testing Program) Test is a
test that measures students’ academic English skills. It tests the following three skills: Listening,
Structure and Written Expression (grammar), and Reading. It’s different from other TOEFL® versions
as follows:

 It has no writing component as in the TOEFL® PBT (Paper-Based Test).

 It’s a paper based test, which is different from the TOEFL® CBT (Computer-Based Test).
 It has no speaking component nor integrated skills questions, as in the TOEFL® iBT (internet-
Based Test).
 The TOEFL® ITP score is limited as it is only accepted by specific universities and
institutions.
 The TOEFL® ITP test is usually not offered at the ETS (Educational Testing Service) certified
centers. It is usually offered at the institution that is requesting the score.
