The Role

• Responsible for overall radio network quality and performance.

• Analyzing OSS KPI, network alarms and drive test log files to extract network
radio and traffic problems.
• Issuing needed hardware and software changes to fix the network radio and
traffic problems.
• Training, coordinating and inspecting technical team members for RF
surveying, doing drive tests and performing hardware and software changes in
the radio network.
• Responsible for coverage and capacity planning and dimensioning of the Radio
Network according to the rollout plan, license obligation, commercial and
marketing and budget requirements.
• Responsible of dimensioning and tuning the related tools on propagation
models for new sites (Coverage Enhancement and Capacity) including the indoor
designs.
• Dealing with the customer and also vendor/s through meetings and other
process for BSS network specification.
• Giving advises on upgrades/changes on a weekly basis and follow- up on work
orders and suggesting changes.
• Preparing related reports about network issues, quality trend and given
solutions and also needed upgrades and changes to the managers and
customer.
Requirements

• Proper academic degree (At least BSc) in Telecommunication engineering or

related fields.
• Good knowledge about telecommunication protocols and systems, GSM and
GPRS concepts and algorithms.
• Experience in RF optimization of 2G and 2.5G networks.
• Familiar with Nokia BSS hardware equipments and radio parameters tuning to
improve radio network quality.
• Familiar with Nokia BSC interface tools to get alarms and run commands.
• Experience in OSS KPI analysis to extract network radio and traffic issues.
• Experience in doing drive test and analyzing log files using TEMS Investigation
and ACTIX tools to extract network coverage and radio issues.
• Experience in using GIS tools such as Google-Earth and Map-Info.
• Experience in coverage planning and prediction using related tools such as
Enterprise ASSET, ...
• Professional MS Office skills to create needed macros and prepare related
documents and reports. 
• Good project management and team leading skills with high level of
understanding and handling the project management related tasks.
• Good communication skills.

The Role

Objective: 2G network RF optimization engineer for Huawei equipment

Main responsibilities: Network and BTS KPI optimization in a live network.

DT report analyzer
We can train the volunteers for some part of the job but there should be
familiarity with RF network , KPI parameters and GSM standard 
Reporting to: CTO
Subordinates: DT teams
Other interactions: Reporting to Customer
Number required: 2
Duration: one year or more
Working hours: Saturday to Wednesday 8:00 to 17:00 and Thursday 8:00 to
12:00
Requirements

Specialist knowledge: Huawei equipment optimization experience. Or DT Report

analyzing experience for other vendors. 
If there is some fundamental knowledge about optimization there is some facility
in the company to train the talent in 2G/3G network optimization.
