What skills would you like to develop through a project placement? To help us best review your application please
provide as much detail as possible.
My interests span from the natural sciences into the arts, and I'm particularly commited to cross-disciplinary approaches to
problems in my fields of study. As of now, I'm seriously considering a move to postgraduate work in manuscript studies,
papyrology and/or epigraphy, where an understanding of archival and collection management procedures, both modern and
historical, is essential to the field. My prior experience in the management of historical artefacts has been restricted to
archaeological materials, and as such, any more experience I could gain in the handling of other objects would be a tremendous
asset.

What day/s would you be available to work on a project? Most projects require a time commitment of
approximately 1 day per week over the duration of the project.
Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Tuesdays also possible if after 11am. Availability later in the year will be timetable-dependent.
Please email your completed EoI form with a copy of your current CV (preferably in a single PDF file) to
harnoldi@unimelb.edu.au . Once your application has been processed and reviewed, you will be contacted
regarding the project opportunities. Please note the shortlisting process can take several weeks.

Thank you for your interest in the museums and cultural collections of the University of Melbourne.
