Attached is a copy of the NCIP Administrative Order No. 1 Series of 2012 .Read the
content of this administrative order so that you will understand what is this law all
about and so that you will understand your as student researchers.
After reading this material, perform the following exercises:
1. Summarize the process and the requirements in undertaking researches on
(Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Practices (IKSPs ) as provided and spelled out in
the NCIP Administrative Order No. 1 Series of 2012 and illustrate the same in a
schematic diagram. (step by step process illustration ).20 Points
2. Discuss the effects of this law to the students and faculty researchers, its
advantages and disadvantages.(10 Points)
3. Summarize the objectives of theNCIP Administrative Order no.1 s.202. 10 points
4. Recommend policies that will be adopted by ASC management to help students
and faculty researchers on IKSP in relation to this law . 10 Points.

Example 1.on an institutional policy on the student researcher’s application fee per
Sec.8.1
1.The application fee of P500 per student researchers must be paid by the ASC
management)

Example 2.All cost (from transportation, meals and snacks during meetings,
publication and acquisition of copy rights) with the indigenous cultural community (ICCs) in all
stages of the research process should be shouldered by the college.
