We
For our PLM and Development Team located in Shanghai, we are looking for an enthusiastic and resourceful
Automation and Control Engineer.
The PLM and Development Team is responsible for managing licensed Turbine Platforms and is the direct liaison
between licensees and the specialized engineering and development departments.
It is the first contact for technical queries and development requests and provides you an interesting and
international working environment.
To provide the edge our customers need, it continuously drives new and incremental developments, ranging from
minor adaptions to deriving new turbine versions to provide the best products for the respective markets.

What are my responsibilities?

Supporting technical queries regarding the Turbine Control and Automation System
Defining new development tasks based on market requirements and in collaboration with licensees
Designing, validating and adapting control and automation schemes for Wind Turbines
Driving updates and new developments in collaboration with licensees and other departments
Managing joint development projects
Continuously optimizing existing procedures and improving tools and methods.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

Professional engineering education e.g. Bachelor or Master in mechanical, electrical or automation

engineering or similar with a strong background in Control Design and Automation
Experience in MATLAB Simulink
Programming knowledge in at least one text based language like C, C++, Java, VB or comparable
Programming knowledge in at least one flow based graphical language like FBD STEP 7, T3000 or similar
Experience with Siemens SIMATIC, STEP7 and TIA Portal are a plus
Basic knowledge about network designs for distributed automation system
Project management experience is an advantage
Basic knowledge of protection concepts, the machinery directive and functional safety management (ISO
13849, IEC 61508, IEC 62061 or other related)
Good English skills both verbally and in writing.
