 STUDENT PROFILES 2015-17

The Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) was established in 1982 as

an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Environment, Forests and
Climate Change, Government of India with financial assistance from the
Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and course
assistance from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. IIFM since
its inception has established itself as an educational, research, training and
consultancy organization.
The Institute has recently been ranked 8th in 2016 India Rankings by National
Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) which was approved by the Ministry
of Human Resource Development. Also, IIFM has continuously been the
number one sectorial management institute in India.
IIFM offers three specializations viz. development management, environment
management, and conservation & livelihood, with an objective of fulfilling the
growing need of managerial human resource with a holistic perspective of
growth.
The 2015-17 batch comprises of 80 students who come from diverse
backgrounds of engineering, arts, commerce and business studies with
almost 30% of students having a work experience of 12 months or more
