Learning Worksheets

These ready-to-use printable worksheets for all subjects will help you reinforce concepts
and test your student comprehension. These are also used for practicing skills that require student
participation by answering various types of questions, such as multiple choice, alternate
response, matching type, short response, short extended response (a paragraph or short essay)
and the like. Worksheets come along with an outline of the daily or weekly lesson or instruction.
Worksheets can be an excellent record of a student's thinking, and how it progresses during a
lesson.

Helpful Tips in Crafting a Worksheet

1. Set a clear and measurable objectives for the worksheet (for example: skills practice
might be exactly what your students need)
2. Provide a space that prompts students to write their names and other required information
3. Write out clear directions for what students are to do, even if you think that the directions
should be obvious
4. Explain the concept explicitly in a logical progression to lead your students’ thinking
process.
5. Be as concise as you can be in your writing without sacrificing clarity. Long paragraphs
of text can discourage students from reading
6. If possible, use more than just text to communicate your ideas such visual aids such as
diagrams, pictures, and graphs that may help more students to engage with the content
7. Activities should help direct students’ learning out-of-class. You may give illustrative
examples that will definitely lead them to active learning.
8. Include process questions that specifically ask students to record notes at different points
(not just at the end)
9. Provide a space for their answers and responses

Parts of a Worksheet

1. Headings - include name of Teacher , School, name of child, grade and section, subject
teacher, date
2. Objectives – you can only have one objective
3. Learning Content with short explanation- brief/abstract of the lesson related to the
module
4. Activities/Exercises–not a repetition from the module, enrichment, reinforcement of
learning, anchored from real-life. Include link of textbook with page number.
Make the worksheet reader –friendly, choose simplest equivalent of the word. (You may
use mother tongue)
5. Answer Key- should be given to the Teacher
6. Reference – 1 or 2 may do
