MY CHILDHOOD MEMORIES

I was a little one with no doubts and fears,

I was a little one definitely humble and sweet,
I was a little girl with many friends to have fun,
A little girl with full of happiness that grows in mine.

When im awake, before eating my delicious meals and before bedtime,

At my young age i learned to honor our almigthy one,
keeping my family and friends will be safe everytime,
And be bless with lots of guidance.

Two little hands were excited to hold a pencil,

My eyes were curious to see,
My ears are ready to listen,
And my head will adapt to remember.

Young age young mind in learning new things,

Never gonna quit, until it’ll fixed,
Discipline, determination and dedication,
That’s my key to make my day into perfection.

admiration for the beauty of nature, while Uncle Gregorio, a scholar, instilled into the

COMPARING MY CHILDOOD MEMORIES TO RIZAL’S EARLY

CHILDHOOD MEMORIES

Comparing my childhood memories to Dr. Jose P. Rizal early childhood

memories. Just like Jose Rizal I had been also experienced happy days of being a a child.
Rizal uncles were one of his mentors not just his mother, but in my days my mother was
the only one person taught me since I have’nt been to school. I only studied in one place
until I completed secondary education unlike him he studied in different universities in
other places so he could develop different skills. I had also received an award in my
elementary education but not as Dr. Jose Rizal received with a high honors. He is very
clever and has completed many courses so it's no wonder that in his genius he has come
up with great ways to fight for our freedom and one of our great national heroes . It’s
difficult for most people to relate to Jose Rizal. The man is our national hero who wrote
poems, articles and novels. His travels around Europe seem very distant from our
experiences. The hardships he experienced during his exile and imprisonment seem
unfathomable to us who have barely been outside of our comfort zones.
3. AIMS OF LA SOLIDARIDAD

Our aspirations are modest, very modest. Our program, aside from being
simple, is clear: to combat reaction, to stop all retrogressive steps, to extol and
adopt liberal ideas, to defend progress; in a word, to be a propagandist, above all, of
democratic ideas in order to make these supreme in all nations here and across the
seas.

The aims, therefore, of  La Solidaridad are described as to collect, to gather,

libertarian ideas which are manifested daily in the field of politics, science, art,
literature, commerce, agriculture and industry.

We shall also discuss all problems relating to the general interest of the nation
and seek solutions to those problems in high-level and democratic manner.

With regard to the Philippines, since she needs the most help, not being
represented in the Cortes, we shall pay particular attention to the defense of her
democratic rights, the accomplishment of which is our patriotic duty.

That nation of eight million souls should not, must not be the exclusive preserve
of theocracy and traditionalism.

ANALYSIS

La Solidaridad (English: The Solidarity) was an organization created in Spain on

December 13, 1888. Composed of Filipino liberals exiled in 1872 and students attending
Europe's universities, the organization aimed to increase Spanish awareness of the needs
of its colony, the Philippines, and to propagate a closer relationship between the colony
and Spain. Headed by José Rizal's cousin, Galican Apacible, it also issued a newspaper of
the same name which was published in Barcelona, Spain on February 15, 1889. It was
edited by Graciano López-Jaena and later on by Marcelo H. del Pilar. The newspaper
published not only articles and essays about the economic, cultural, political, and social
conditions of the country, but also current news, both local and foreign, and speeches of
prominent Spanish leaders about the Philippines. La Solidaridad was established to
express the goal of the Propaganda Movement towards achieving assimilation with Spain.
The first issue of La Solidaridad came out on February 15, 1889. A fortnightly and a bi-
weekly newspaper, La Solidaridad serves as the principal organ of the Reform Movement
in Spain.
