The mini project is designed to help students develop practical ability and working knowledge of
practical tools/techniques to solve real life problems related to the industry, academic institutions
and research in the field of computer science or information technology. Each student needs to
take up this mini project as an individual. Projects could be based on Application Development
Technologies learnt in previous and or present semesters. As part of the mini project each student
will have to prepare proper documentation consisting of Software Requirements Specification
(SRS), Modeling Techniques, Development Strategies and Implementation Strategies.

• The completed project report is to be submitted to University by uploading it on the EduNxt for
IA and UE evaluation within the prescribed time. This will be the only one document to be
submitted to the University for Evaluation.
During the course of Project development student must follow all the necessary steps.
In this Phase student should identify the guide who has Post Graduate in IT with specialization in
appropriate area with minimum of 3 years of Industry/Teaching experience.
With the consultation of the guide one can choose the tools/Technology required for conducting
the Project and the hardware and software requirement for the Project.

1.The length of the report may be about 20 to 30 pages, with 1.5 line spacing, 1.25 inches margin
on either side, printed on A4 size papers. Ten percent variation on either side is permissible.

6 Assessment
A student will be assessed for the award of Internal Assessment (IA) marks and also for the end
semester exam – University Examination (UE) marks. For details refer below Table – 2.
