- We use “must” to talk about something that is obligatory. It is used in affirmative and negative sentences, in simple present.
Example: I must wash my hands to prevent coronavirus. / you mustn`t kiss people.
She must wear a face mask to prevent coronavirus. / you mustn`t sneeze on someone else face.
- We use “have to” to say that it is necessary to do something. You use it to speak in a polite way. It is used in past, present
and future in affirmative, negative and interrogative way.
Example: she has to wash her clothes before entering home. / she doesn`t have to finish her homework today.
They have to clean their shoes to come into the house. /they don`t have to go out.
- We use “should” to give an obligation advice. It is used in present tense in affirmative and negative way.
Example: I should wash my hands frequently. / I shouldn`t touch my face before washing my hands.
He should wear a face mask in the street. / He shouldn`t hug his family after getting home.
They should clean their cars / They shouldn`t greet each other touching their hands
