Accessibility Features

How to access the accessibility tab
from the settings tab on the
Samsung Galaxy.
Click the Samsung Galaxy
settings tab, shown on the
left, scroll down until you see
the accessibility tab under
the settings tab shown on the
right.
Screen
Reader

Allows students to touch their

screen and have what they
touched spoken back to them. It
will assist students that are vision
impaired and have trouble reading
the screen.
● Click on screen reader under
the accessibility tab
● The second picture will pop
up asking for full access of
your phone if you want voice
assistant. A full tutorial is
also available in this tab.
Visibility Enhancements
This tab allows students to change many features on
the keyboard and screen to make things easier to see
and easier to focus on while doing activities. This
feature allows them to adjust the color of fonts,
change keyboard size, button shapes, color display and
magnify things on their screen. This setting helps
students with vision problems and trouble seeing.
● To access this from the accessibility setting, click
on Visibility enhancements and from there you
can access which enhancement you want to
access.
● Slide the tab to the right on the enhancement
you want to turn on.
Hearing
Enhancements
Students with hearing or audio issues can use
this feature in many ways. They can use the
hearing aid support to enhance the sound
quality of the phone for hearing aids, use the live
transcribe to listen to live speech and display it
as a text, and change the sounds of the phone as
they need it.
● Click on hearing enhancements from the
accessibility tab in settings.
● From there click on the enhancement that
you want changed to suit you best by
sliding the tab to the right.
Interaction and Dexterity
This feature helps students with disabilities
that reduce their dexterity. They can plug in a
switch to their phone so they do not have to
touch it. Under this feature, students can
enable the easy screen on to answer without
touching their phone. The interaction control
is here also which allows them to block out
interaction from other applications.
● Click on the accessibility features from
the setting tab, then click on
interaction and dexterity.
● In interaction and dexterity, click on
the tab you want to turn on, with this
one extra items are necessary such as
headset or a hand switch for these
features to fully work. .
Advanced
Settings
This feature allows students to
access the accessibility features

quicker when enabled. They can

choose which feature they want to
enable, which one is important to
them. Under advanced setting they
can turn on flash notification, which
offers a flash of the camera light or
screen when notifications pop up,
which helps with hearing impaired
students.
● Click on the accessibility
features tab in setting and
then on advanced settings.
● Choose what you want to
change once there. The
second image shows how to
change the flash notification.
