• SAP will propose a default and manual.
• The formula of
• Shipping Condition = Taken from the sales order header
• Loading Group = Taken from the material master
• Plant = taken from the item in the sales order

Logic to determine the item category assigned to an item on the sales order.
• The configuration will drive the behavior of the item.
• The logic is in table T184
• Using the formula
• Sales order document type + Item category group + usage + higher item
category group = item category + manual, where
• Sales order document type is on the sales order header
• Item category group is on the material master
• Usage comes from SAP code
• Higher item category group is from the parent item

Order Validation
Checking the sales order for any issues before being passed to
logistics
This is done by either
• Delivery block on the sales order
• From the customer, document itself or material
• Customer – Transaction XD05
• Material – MM02 sales view 1
• Sales document – Configuration
• Manually placed by the user
• Enhancement for more complex business rules
• User exit MV45AFZZ at routine USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE
• Various activates can be stopped based on the type of block
being applied

Order Validation
Checking the sales order for any issues before being passed to
logistics
This is done by either
• Incomplete document
• Ensure a given field is populated
• For example, ensure that the weight and volume has been
populated.
