CHECK VALVE UNION
The Check Valve Union is

designed to seal off well pressure
in the event of the wireline parting
from the toolstring. The steel ball
is forced against the seat by the
well pressure preventing flow from
below.
The Check Valve Union is

manufactured as a one-piece body
assembly and is assembled below
the Stuffing Box or Grease
Injection Head.
The Check Valve design has an

added advantage in that the
internal Check Valve Assembly can
be accommodated as an integral
part of the Stuffing Box or Grease
Injection Head.
This not only reduces the height of

the Lubricator Stack but also offers
an attractive financial advantage.

CHEMICAL INJECTION SUB
The Chemical Injection Sub is

designed to allow the injection of
either a de-icing agent (i.e.
Methanol or Glycol) or an inhibitor
to prevent H2S/CO2 corrosion. It is
mounted just below the Stuffing
Box or Grease Injection Head.
It has replaceable felt packing,

which are kept constantly wet by
chemical injection and therefore
act as wipers to the wireline
passing through it.
The Chemical Injection Sub can be

supplied with various size unions,
pressure rating up to 20,000psi,
for Standard and H2S Service and
suit larger wire sizes upon request.

GREASE INJECTION HEAD (GIH)
The Grease Injection Head is

designed to perform a sealing
function on braided cable.
The grease is pumped under

pressure into the flow tubes and
combined with the activation of the
hydraulic packing head forms a
seal against well pressure.
This process completely seals and

lubricates the wireline.
Grease Injection Heads can be

supplied with various size quick
unions, pressure rating up to
20,000psi Working Pressure, for
Standard and H2S Service and suit
larger wire sizes upon request.
Wire Sizes quoted are nominal.
Flow Tubes are supplied to suit

wireline dimensions as required.

HALF MOON (ARCH) SHEAVE
The Half Moon Sheave is also

known as Arch Sheave. The design
is usually used for large sheave
diameter application.
This Half Moon Sheave is used to

run control line or encapsulated
ESP cable/line. The sheave groove
can be designed to match the line
size.
This Half Moon Sheave used as a

top block and can be secured by
chain or rope as necessary.
Currently, the Half Moon Sheave

available sizes range from 24” to
48” diameter.
HAY PULLEY / FLOOR BLOCK
The Hay Pulley/Floor Block is

used to control the route of the
wireline or cable from the winch to
the Stuffing Box or Grease
Injection Head sheave.

LIFTING CAP
The Lifting Cap is a safe and

efficient way if lifting Blow-Out
Preventer onto the wellhead. It
gives the operator a straight
vertical lift, which is essential when
connecting quick unions.
A combined Lifting/Test Cap is

also available for all sizes of quick
union connections to assist with
the testing of pressure control
equipment.
The Lifting/Test Cap is normally

supplied with a ½” NPT Port, but is
also available blank or with any
number and type of port required.

PRIMARY SEAL INTEGRITY

TEST SUB (PSI)
When performing wireline

operations it is often necessary to
make tool changes to the
toolstring. To gain access, the
lubricator is separated from the
wireline valve by breaking out a
quick union. Before the toolstring
can be redeployed, it is good
practice to test the integrity of the
quick union o-ring.
By fitting the Primary Seal

Integrity Test Sub at the lower
most point in the lubricator stack,
pressurization of the small volume
between the double o-ring seals is
all required to confirm the integrity
of the quick union connection. This
not only cuts down on expansive
test fluids, but also saves time in
pumping large volumes to fill up
the lubricator stack.
All gauges and fittings are

manufactured from stainless steel
and rated for 20,000psi. The
Primary Seal Integrity Test Sub is
intended for in-field testing
purposes, and therefore the
pressure should not exceed the
lubricators working pressure.

PUMP-IN FLANGE CROSS
The Pump-In Flange Cross

designed to provide convenient
access for pumping fluids into the
well or bleeding off lubricator
pressure. They are available with
several variations of side outlet
ports.
The Pump-In Flange Cross is

SIDE DOOR STRIPPER
The Side Door Stripper

(sometimes referred to as a
packoff or stuffing box) provides
the primary operational seal
between pressurized wellbore fluids
and the surface environment. It is
physically located between the BOP
and the Injector Head.
The Stripper provides a dynamic

seal around the coiled tubing
during tripping and a static seal
around the coiled tubing when
there is no movement.
The Stripper devices are designed

with a side door, which permits
easy access and replacement of
the sealing elements, with the
coiled tubing in place.

HYDRAULIC STUFFING BOX
The Hydraulic Wireline Stuffing

Box is used when it is necessary to
perform wireline work under well
pressure. The Stuffing Box is
Compact Type equipped with 16" Sheave. The
sheave assembly allows the
wireline to be guided in its travels
from the wireline unit into and
through the Stuffing Box Body
Assembly.
The wireline passes through the

packing in the Stuffing Box Body,
the packing nut is then
hydraulically activated sufficiently
compress the packing to minimize
leakage around the wireline. A
blow-out plug is situated in the
lower section of the body and in
the event of wire failure the plug
will move upward (due to
differential pressure) and seal off
well pressure to the surface.
The Hydraulic Stuffing Box is

available with working pressure
ratings from 5,000psi to 20,000psi;
for standard and sour
environments.
The Hydraulic Stuffing Box may be

operated hydraulically with any
source capable of providing
required pressure. Manual override
is available in case of hydraulic
failure (for Standard Type).

LIQUID SEAL HYDRAULIC STUFFING BOX
The Liquid Seal Hydraulic

Stuffing Box is designed to seal
and contain well pressure around
stationery or moving wire during
Compact Type Slickline operation.
The Liquid Seal Hydraulic Stuffing

Box is especially suitable for
intervention work on high pressure
wells where optimum toolstring
weight is essential and on gas
wells, where hydrate formation can
result in conventional stuffing box
‘freezing up’ and when it is
necessary to perform work when
spillage is not allowed.
The wireline passes through the

top packing in the Stuffing Box
Body. The wireline will then pass
through flow tubes and the blow-
out plug.
For the compact type design, the

flow tubes are replaced by the
lower set of packings. The packing
nut is then hydraulically activated
sufficiently compress the packing
to minimize leakage around the
wireline. A blow-out plug is
situated in the lower section of the
body and in the event of wire
failure the plug will move upward
and automatically seal off well
pressure to the surface.

Box has a unique internal
component that is designed to be
environmentally friendly by
reducing spillage to an absolute

MANUAL TOOL TRAP
The Manual Tool Trap is designed

to stop wireline tools from falling
back down the well should the
wireline accidentally break at the
Rope Socket when pulling back into
the lubricator.
The flappers installed within the

tool can be manually opened to
allow the tools to pass into the well
bore. The manual handle also acts
as a position (‘OPEN’ or ‘CLOSED’)
indicator for the flappers.
The Manual Tool Trap is

manufactured with various sizes of

HYDRAULIC TOOL TRAP
The Hydraulic Tool Trap is

designed to stop wireline tools

TORSION WIRE TESTER
The Torsion Wire Tester is a

portable apparatus to allow the
testing of wireline to A.P.I. 9A
Specification.
Regular testing of wire lines in

service is strongly recommended in
order to monitor the inevitable
deterioration in wire to reduce the
risk of wire failure down hole.
The Torsion Wire Tester is

designed to access the ductility of
wire from 0.092” up to and
including 0.125” diameter.
The test consists of twisting a

sample of wireline round its own
axis until failure occurs, noting the
number of turns to failure.
SINGLE RAM MANUAL WIRELINE VALVE
The Manual Wireline Valve (BOP) is a

compact wireline valve construction;
designed specifically to be used as a
Single or Dual Ram; for Slickline and
Braided Line operations. This allows the
performance of work under pressure, on
surface equipment, when the line is still
in the wellbore.
The Manual Wireline Valve is placed

between the wellhead and lubricator
assembly.
The Manual Wireline Valve closure

design consists of a manual operated
stem connected to the ram assemblies.
The rams can be closed (or opened) by
manually rotating the stems. This
permits compression of the rams around
the line from opposite sides. A seal is
then made which contains well pressure
below the ram. Pressure across the ram
is equalized through an integral
equalizer assembly prior to hydraulically
retracting the ram and opening the
valve.
The Manual Wireline Valve is available

in nominal sizes from 2-1/2” to 5" with
working pressure ratings from 5,000psi
to 10,000psi, for standard and sour
environments.
A Low Torque (Bearing Type Non-

Rising Stem Closure) Manual Wireline
Valve is available for lower operation
torque requirement. It is not advisable to
use Manual Wireline Valve for large ID
size or high working pressure
application due to the high operation
torque requirement.
The Hydraulic Wireline Valve should be

used for high torque application.

DUAL RAM HYDRAULIC COILED TUBING BOP

The Hydraulic Coiled Tubing BOP is a

hydraulic compact valve construction;
Dual, Triple or Quad Ram; for Coiled
Tubing operations. This allows the
surface equipment, when the coiled
tubing is in the wellbore. The Hydraulic
CT BOP is placed between the wellhead
and injector/stuffing box assembly.
The Hydraulic CT BOP closure design

consists of a hydraulic actuator
valve.
The Hydraulic CT BOP e is available in

nominal sizes from 2-1/2” to 9” with
environments. Both single and multi ram
configurations have optional ram
assembly types.
The Hydraulic CT BOP may be operated

hydraulically with any source capable of
providing required pressure. Manual
override is available in case of hydraulic
failure.
