Waikato DHB has received further strike notices from APEX for Hospital
Laboratory staff. Whilst we do anticipate disruption to patients we have been
working on contingency plans to minimise this and ensure patient safety.

Dates and contingency plans are detailed below:

 Hospital Laboratory staff who are members of APEX have given notice
of a partial strike and will not be answering phones between 0700-1900
Monday to Friday from Monday 10 February until Tuesday 10 March.
 Staff will be available to answer phone calls at all times, however
please be aware the recipient of your call may need to seek further
information before the can respond to your query. We would appreciate
your patience during this time.
 All other services including collection and processing will continue as
normal during this time.
