All Share Index NASI shed 3.62 points or 2.72% to settle at 129.61
The NSE 25 Share Index lost 56.59 points or 1.85% to close at 3002.97

The Derivatives Market had 8 contracts worth Kes.219,800 transacted in today’s session. 7 Safaricom contracts
expiring on 17th Dec 2020 were concluded at a price of Kes.26.40 against an end of day price of Kes.26.85
posted in the spot market.
EQUITIES
Market turnover rose significantly to Kes.991M from the previous session’s Kes.427M, the number of shares
traded stood at 39M against 15M posted on Thursday.
Banking
The Banking Sector had shares worth Kes.151M transacted which accounted for 15.30% of the day’s traded
value. Equity Group Holdings moved 2.2M shares valued at Kes.73M at between Kes.32.00 and Kes.32.70. KCB
Group had 852,800 shares transacted valued at Kes.29M and closed the day at Kes.34.30. ABSA Bank Kenya
moved 3.2M shares worth 28M and closed the session at Kes.8.98.
Energy & Petroleum
The Energy & Petroleum sector had shares worth Kes.1.6M traded representing 0.17% of the day’s traded value.
Kenya Power & Lighting up 1.5% to Kes.2.00 from Kes.1.97, had 401,700 shares transacted valued at
Kes.801,000. KenGen moved 124,800 shares and closed at Kes.6.04.
Manufacturing & Allied
The Manufacturing & Allied sector had shares worth Kes.1.4M transacted & accounted for 0.15% of the day’s
traded value. East African Breweries moved 6,300 shares valued at Kes.992,000 at between Kes.154.50 and
Kes.160.00.
Telecommunication
Safaricom down 4.62% to close at Kes.26.85 from Kes.28.15 registered the previous session, was the day’s main
mover with 30.9M shares valued at Kes.832M, this represented 84.02% of the day’s traded value.
