How to Deal with Day to Day Stressors of Life through Mediation and Yoga

CS- 140 Fall 2020

For this assignment we were asked by our Professor to come up with our own lesson plan
on Complementary and Alternative Medicine. We were to create our own syllabus, lectures
notes and handouts. The class that I thought would be beneficial to teach was meditation
and yoga. I feel like we have so much stress in our lives all the time that we need to tools in
order to cope with these stressors of life. My class starts out with doing a session of yoga for
15 minutes and then the end of each class session we do 30 minutes of meditation. Ethical
practices and legal standards in this alternative healthcare field is important because even
though complementary and alternative medicine have been around forever it doesn't
necessarily mean that they are safe or that they are going to heal health condition you
might have. It's always best to talk to a healthcare provider before trying an alternative
route.
