Jainil Mehta, an artistic entrepreneur, shared some of the classic defining moments of his dance

journey. He has travelled a long way from becoming a dancer to an instructor to a choreographer to
an artist today. His passion and determination gave him the courage to not only chase but also shape
his dream and take the untaken path.

1. Breaking free from the Usual Path: It is not easy to break free and take the unexpected turn
towards performing arts in an Indian society where these activities fall under hobbies and not
as career paths. Especially for the kid who is great at studies, it is even tougher to convince
the family and get support for such a career path. He proved his perseverance and strength
of his dreams through continuous hard work and his investment of more than 12 years of his
early life to dance. In 8th grade, he realized that dancing is his passion, and he started
garnering experiences by choreographing school events and curating content with full
dedication.

2. Dealing with Obstacles and Failures: As a bright student at school, he has collected the real
art of concepts and beautifully used them to build a career today. SWOT analysis of your
skillset, behavioural patterns is required to understand your weakness and triggers and
transform them with your strengths. "All failures are a part of my Success" Indeed as those
setbacks gave him the courage to push back with more force and preparedness to deal with
the future events. His belief in giving out the best in every situation stands firm, and "It's
Okay" is a therapeutic phrase to combat the bad turnouts. A manager needs to learn and
grow from their mistakes to keep the development chart ticking up.

3. Onto the road to being a Business-Oriented Individual: He says he is an artist, and his mission
of being a dance educator is still intact. This core mission has defined his ways to build an
organization FIDAA where passionate dancers can just come and learn; he believes in
providing and creating a platform for all such hidden artists. This organization has proved to
a classic marketing case for him, where he started with a general audience to shifting his
focus to a targeted audience of South Asian communities. Culture connects you to your core,
and the positioning of his services towards Bollywood and Indian culture saw a new day. This
new realm of STP made him not only increase the footfall but also grew the revenue figures
of his organization.

Striking the right balance between his creativity and business mindset sets him apart from the usual
entrepreneurs. His ability to carve out customized services based on consistent learning has given
him a thrust to his mission.

Jainil’s Mission is to create the first-ever accredited higher education dance program in India through global
exchange, interdisciplinary learning and partnerships. Dancers will get a chance to develop their own artistic
choices and artmaking process, hence helping them create a unique identity & career for themselves.
