❏ Check the unload summary

What you’ll need: unload summary, packets, 3 - day cold sheet, international sheet,
intra flight ops sheet, 2 different colored highlighters, a pencil, and later you will need
the turn over
1. Get the unload summary, the packets, and the 3 sheets you’ll need from the
supervisor desk (Leanna or Robert usually has it)
2. Put the packets in order by flight; the flights will be on the left side of the unload
summary, make sure we have a packet for each flight, and put them in order.
3. Check for errors; highlight the ULD (can) numbers and the destination on both
the flight packet and unload summary, both ULD and destination should match
up
4. Give any edits to Robert or Leanna
5. Make sure the cans on international sheet are on the unload summary (highlight
international sheet, dot the unload summary)
6. Make sure the cans on the 3-day cold sheet are on the unload summary (it goes
by flight and the flight is in the box to the right of the can number; dot the 3-day
cold, dot the unload summary)
7. Make sure cans on the intra sheet are on the unload summary (this one also
goes by flight; dot the intra sheet, dot the unload summary)
8. Make sure the Twilight cans (cans that have a UST destination) are on the
turnover, check for bypass cans, and any remainder offload cans (dot and dot)
9. Write down the sunrise cans; you are going to write the sunrise cans on the
turnover flight-by-flight. On the unload summary look at each flight one at a time
to see if there are sunrise cans, if a flight has sunrise cans then find the flight
packet for that flight, on the turnover write the 3 letter flight mvmt (found on the
front of the packet, top left corner), next to the mvmt start writing the sunrise
cans. Once all the cans are written for that flight, draw a line to show where it
ends, and start on the next one.
10. Double check the sunrise cans to make sure there were no mistakes (dot the
cans on the turnover, dot the cans on the unload summary)
11. Now, you take the flight packets and find the weight in, loose, and ULD numbers
(sometimes a supervisor will already have this done… steps to find these are
below)
12. After you find the weight in, loose, and ULD numbers, file the packets in the
cabinet (by z-date)

- TIPS: if there are duplicate cans on the flight packet with 2 different destination
numbers, it will always resort to either 9159 or 9199. For example, if the can
number is 7852UP and the destination is 9159USN and there is a duplicate
7852UP with a destination 8059 USN, then the correct destination will be 9159
USN.
- If there is a duplicate can, on the flight packet, with the same destination but one
says intra (N) and the other says sunrise (S) then it will always be intra (N). For
example, if the can is 7852UP and the destination is 9159USN and there is a
duplicate 7852UP can with a destination 9159USS, then the correct destination
will be 9159USN.
- If there is a can on the flight packet with a letter origin and destination then it will
not be on the unload summary and you will have to highlight whatever letter is
next to it (it will usually be an E, R, V, or Q but there are others). For example, if
the can is written like this: 5L 7852UP SLC ONT ... E … then you will highlight
the E.
- If there is a duplicate can on the unload summary then you will highlight
whichever one is correct based off of what is on the flight packet (sometimes they
will both be correct, just highlight one), cross out the other one and next to it write
“duplicate”
- If there is a can that is on the flight packet but not on the unload summary, then
off to the side (in the area next to the respective flight) write the can and the
destination

❏ Find the weight in, loose, and ULD numbers

What you’ll need: post-its labeled “weight in”, “loose”, and “ULD in”
1. Finding the weight in: Check the flight packets one-by-one for duplicate cans,
cross out the weight for each duplicate can then add them up. Once you have
added the duplicate weights, subtract that total from the weight that is typed at
the front of the packet, write that total down and draw a line under it.
2. Finding the loose: look for loose cans, if there are any then add up the
packages. Write that total at the front of the packet, under the “weight” you just
wrote down.
3. Add up every single “weight” number to get one big number. Write it on the post
it.
4. Add up every single “loose” number to get one big number. Write it on the post it.
5. Finding the ULD in: at the front, top center, of each flight packet there is a 3 digit
number. You are looking at the first number and adding them up based off of the
key I wrote for you. (1 = 29, 2 = 39, 3 = 31, 4 = 15, 5 = 39). Write the total on the
post it.
6. Once you have found all three numbers, give them to Jaquie
❏ Ramp checks
What you’ll need: a different colored pen from the one the ramp checks are written in,
an orange, pink, green, blue, and yellow highlighter, a computer.
1. Log onto Compass and type in the transcode LHDCNT
2. Type in each can number that is written on the ramp check
3. Write the flight number on the side of the row the can number is written in
4. Repeat.
5. Any cans that you could not find on LHDCNT, you can try looking for in LHDPLD,
if you still can’t find it then ask a supervisor.
6. Highlight each can based on what the flight was (ORANGE- hold, PINK- 2968,
0898, 0806, 0996, 0834, 0850, 0972, 0962, 0954, GREEN- 0056, BLUE- 0098,
YELLOW- everything else)

❏ Bypass sheet
1. Open up the bypass excel sheet
2. On compass type in the transcode LHTLCL U, check for trailers on 9159, 9169,
and ONT. After you check LHTLCL U, check LHTBUC U and check for trailers
again on 9159, 9169, and ONT.
3. If you found a trailer on LHTLCL U, then next to the trailer type “E” then press
enter, it will take you to the arrival screen, press f4 to get to the movement
screen. Highlight, copy and paste the cans onto the bypass excel sheet.
4. Go back to the mvmnt screen and press f2 to arrive the trailer (type the current
date and time, ex: 10Aug17 0030), press enter, type the letter “R” at the bottom,
enter, then press f9 to go back to the LHTLCL screen.
5. Clear the trailers you just added to the bypass by typing “C” next to them, press
enter, type “R”, press enter.
6. After you have added/ cleared all the trailers on the LHTLCL screen, check the
LHTBUC screen.
7. To check the LHTBUC screen: press the “pause/break” key and type LHTBUC U,
repeat steps 3-4. You don’t have to clear anything on this screen because it does
it by itself.
