Judging
Line, Angle, Proximity
4 Judges. One for each area of Judging plus a Judge to police the lead driver’s 50 roll at start.
Judges will have replays available to look closer at runs if need be.
Judges have all taken a vow to be as critical as possible in judging. Whether it be a team
member, a friend or someone they do not know, there will be no difference in judging.
We are taking pride in bringing you a 100% unbiased competition experience. Straight to the
point, by the book and no bullshit.

Grid
Drivers must stay parked alongside the person they will battle. Drivers must stay back
somewhere on the short straight.
Please no revving or donuts unless you are up next and want to warm tires. Burnout box is
anywhere behind the start – be courteous.

Start
Start begins at the end of the concrete patch in the grass.
Chase is on Left – Lead is on Right.
50 MPH roll maximum – There will be a judge specifically to police this.
Chase may jump the start, but it is not permitted to overtake the lead driver.
50 roll ends at the very beginning of the first white portion of the rumble strip to the right after
the course straightens.
Side by side following up to initiation is okay, but you must leave ample room for the lead driver
to accelerate and set up for initiation. Remember, Chase is to mimic lead, do not get in their way.
Reference: The red 350z above should be over to the left about half a car more. We have found
being too close can push the lead into the rumble sometimes.
Lead or chase drivers can call for a restart up to, but not after the end of the 50 roll.
Drivers are expected to be full throttle up to initiation.
Trying to trick the chase to gain a jump on them will not be tolerated and will result in a 0 for
that driver. (Brake checking, letting off then punching it randomly)
Initiation

Drivers must initiate before the end of the rumble strip. Pictured is the zone where drivers are
expected to initiate. It is good to get as wide as you can to then come in tight to the apex and
angle up to the first outside TnG.
It is okay for chase drivers to take an inside line to keep proximity and keep a consistent line
with the lead.
Faint entries are allowed – Be vigilant of the lead driver on run up.
Inside Clip 1

From initiation to inside clip 1 is a potential slow down area, continuing all the way out to TnG
1.
Some drivers may find they do not need to slow down as much depending on angle.
Rumble strip is allowed. (1 tyre over white line)
Drivers are expected to get as close to this apex as possible.
We recommend drivers angle up big time after this point – to scrub speed into the first outside
TnG and to set themselves up properly for the Outside Zone to come afterward.
Outside tng 1

Drivers will be slowly decelerate out of the first apex and will want to slow down as they go out
wide to the line, filling Outside TnG 1.
This area is tricky. Some drivers may not decelerate as much as others depending on angle/style.
Because of this, the area after the apex to the outside TnG is a deceleration zone but also an
acceleration zone if the driver stays within the line.
(This primarily applies to what chase drivers should expect in front of them)
Big angle is accepted and recommended.
Outside zone

Coming out of Outside TnG 1, drivers will continue to slow but also make sure they have enough
speed to reach this Outside zone.
Drivers are expected to be transitioned and ready to fill the zone with the rear of their car by the
end of the rumble strip shown above.
Drivers need to get as close as possible to the white line the whole way around this turn until the
beginning of the next rumble strip.
The closer you are to the white line, the better. Drivers will be deducted for not filling this zone
and obviously, for dropping tires.
We have in place a scoring system where drivers will not be penalized too bad for barely
dropping a tire as opposed to clearly going off with a tire. (See deduction sheet).
Minor Drop defined:
1 tired just barely dropping for a small portion of the turn.
Riding the white line but enough to kick up dirt
Major Drop defined:
1 tire clearly in grass and/or for an extended period.
More than 1 tire dropped
The picture above shows just before you would transition to go out towards the next Outside
TnG.
Acceleration zone begins half way through the outside zone.
Again, rumble is allowed. Chase drivers can take advantage of this and keep proximity and good
angle with the lead line.
Outside TnG 2

Drivers will be accelerating out of the last Outside zone and transition, while gaining speed, out
to Outside TnG 2.
This is mainly an acceleration zone but Lead drivers are permitted to slow down a touch if need
be to keep their line clean. Chase drivers are required to adjust to a slight deceleration of the lead
driver in this area.
Drivers can take a mid-line after this TnG. There is no need to swing wide again. Stay middle of
course and prepare to throw big angle as it is wanted for the incoming inside clip.
Inside clip 2

After coming out of Outside TnG 2 and making a mid-transition, drivers are okay to slow down a
touch and angle up before powering through the apex of the last inside clip.
From just before the Apex to the finish is an acceleration zone. If you are on the correct line, you
should not need to slow down or use brakes.
Drivers will want to make sure they angle up to shoot out towards the pavement patch in front of
the wall rather than shooting straight towards the grass and wall.
Rumble strip is allowed but be sure not to drop tires inside of the rumble. (1 tyre allowed over
white line)

Exit
Big angle is allowed.
Avoid the grass, it is easy to just shoot out to the wall and go two off in the grass.
Try to get big angle and shoot out towards the access road pavement patch shown in the videos.

It is not expected for the lead to go onto the access road pavement – get out on that white line atleast.
Immediately after the access road is the finish line and both drivers can slow down.
Drivers need to turn around and promptly return to the start line.

Conditional
4 tires off course is a 0 for the run.
Tapping is allowed if it does not change the line or speed of the vehicle being tapped. Slamming
into other drivers and causing them to adjust will result in a deduction.
For every 2 mph the lead driver exceeds in the 50 roll, 5 points will be deducted.
We understand that controller drivers will look twitchy on stream and will overlook that as much
as possible.
Brake checking and slowing in areas where acceleration is expected will result in deduction.
Dramatic slowdowns and large adjustments will result in deductions.

Sportsmanship
We require that every driver in the lobby be respectful to one another and practice good
sportsmanship. This is a competition, but for fun. Staff is taking this competition very serious but
to make it as laid back and as enjoyable for drivers as possible.
Anyone causing a disturbance, arguing on a call in chat, yelling or just being a dick will be
kicked immediately no questions asked.

Protesting a call
We, Judges, are going to do our very best to be as fair and attentive to detail as possible.
Every call will be followed with a reason for said call.
Drivers can privately ask about something they do not agree with after the comp is over.
All calls are final during the competition but if you believe we missed something or want us to
review a run and learn from it, we are more than happy to see to it.
With that being said, we will have replays in the live competition and will be reviewing them
after each battle for a second look.

Car restrictions
For any direct communication with staff, please message TTL HABITAT on Xbox Live or on
Discord.
