At the University (UPC) courses are taught following
the general norms of the Competency-Based
System which is divided in three pillars:

 The assessment criteria for online intensive courses observes:

• 20% Attitudinal aspects (Being)

Forum participation, online activities completion,
punctuality when submitting assigments
• 20% Product Evidences
Video analysis, mind maps, concept maps, online
exercises, essays
• 20% Knowledge Evidences
Gramar quetionnaires, vocabulry quizzes
• 10% Evidence Portfolio*
*Optional for the first and second unit, compulsory for the final unit.

• Books: Technology 2 (Oil & Gas 2 for
Geophysics Engineering) and Longman TOEFL
• On the Technology / Oil & Gas 2 book units 1 –
7 will be covered
• The course will have 3 assessment units as
always and language skills will be evaluated
through online exercises.
