With its historic value, Sarajevo is homeland to authentic European Muslims and provides the ideal space for East and West to meet and
interact. With this experience, Bosnia and Herzegovina has taken lead in the halal market of Southeast Europe.
The interest in the halal industry shows increasing trends. Since September 2018, the number of halal-certified companies has increased
from 85 to 130, while the number of halal-certified products has grown from 4.500 to nearly 8000. With previous trends, Sarajevo
Halal Fair 2018 has attracted 91 exhibitors, more than 600 business representatives and over 130 media representatives, while it was
attended by over 10.400 visitors from different parts of BiH and the region. Sarajevo Halal Fair 2019 aims to excel once again in numbers.
