How To Study With The Study Plan
• Go through the chapters in order: These chapters have been carefully arranged – You will need the materials from the first week to
understand the second week. If it’s a chapter you are familiar with, you may brush through them, but DO NOT SKIP THEM.
• If it’s in the lecture, it’s on the SAT: When you don’t understand something during the lecture, you will be tempted to skip them. Don’t. They
will show up on the exam and you will get them wrong in the future if you don’t understand now. You can either pay the price now, or pay
when it actually matters.
• Step 2 is the most important step: If you don’t know how to add, you will never know what 1+1 is no matter how hard you try or how much
time you have. Before trying practice questions, MAKE SURE you understood everything and have important equations/concepts in your head
– Otherwise, you WILL get stuck on the questions, be frustrated, and get them wrong.
• Practice Questions – You know how to solve them, just not yet: You have learned everything you need to solve these practice questions. If you
can’t, you either 1) don’t have concepts aren’t in your head yet, or 2) need to try to piece the learned material together. If (1), go back to your
notes, make sure you understood/memorized everything. If (2), give it 10 more minutes & think within the materials you learned in the lecture.
• Step 4 is the next most important step: When you get a question wrong, think about WHY you missed it and HOW you can get it right the next
time. If you don’t understand your mistakes, you will make the same mistakes next time
• Review the concept summaries frequently: It’s been scientifically proven that it takes 1 day to forget 50~80% of the material. We are making a
summary of each lecture so you wouldn’t have waste time re-watching the whole thing again. The summaries will outline EXACTLY what you
need to know for the exam. Skim through couple times throughout the week – bonus points if you highlighted your weak points for emphasis.
