FAMILY ISSUES and how they affect the children

This picture shows a family of four where the parents are fighting and the children
are standing worried and they don’t know what to do. Family is an important part
of the society and plays a major role in the proper functioning of the society. An
ideal family is a happy family with understanding among the people living in the
family.

Family is like the four wheels of a car. Just like a car cannot work if any one of its
wheels is missing, it will be crippled and broken just like that if any one member of
the family is missing, the family is broken and hence cannot function properly.
Therefore the picture shows a dysfunctional and debilitated family and how simple
misunderstandings among the parents is causing trouble for the children.

The story that I inferred from the picture is as follows;

The boy illustrates the story of his disrupted family himself:

“My name is John and I’m just 13 years old. I have a sister who is just 6 years old.
We used to be a very happy family of four, always happy and full of enjoyment
and having fun. We could find happiness in the smallest of moments. Then one
night me and my sister were sleeping peacefully and then suddenly at past
midnight we heard shouting and also the noise of the breaking of glass. My sister
got scared and started crying so we went outside to see what had happened and saw
our parents fighting and my father was throwing things on the floor aggressively.
We were so worried so I asked what had happened but was immediately told off.
Instead we still stood there watching. I tried in all my might to stop my parents but
couldn’t succeed sadly. We stood there for about another half hour just watching
them shout at each other vigorously as there was nothing we could do to stop them.

My sister started weeping soundly so I took her back to the room and told her that
everything will be alright and that I will make everything alright. We were peeping
through the corner of our room and suddenly we heard a blaring sound and my
father had just slapped my mother and I knew from the inside that this was the end
of everything and I started crying. My mother was also crying. A few days later my
parents signed the divorce and that was the end of the happily ever after’s that we
had always imagined. Now me and my sister are just lugged here and there among
my parents not knowing whose fault it was or what had actually happened. This
incident has destroyed our lives completely. We have been isolated everywhere in
our social life and we cannot even face our friends because we don’t know what to
tell them. It has also affected our minds severely and now I believe that marriage is
an extremely bad choice and happily ever after’s does not exist.”

A small wrong step can make a huge damage to the lives and young minds so think
before you chose.
