A double bar chart is used to compare two sets of data.

The graph shows millions of users

of the ten most popular languages on the internet in 2010 and gives information about the rate of
growth of each language. Using the data described, it is possible to draw a conclusion about the
importance of the certain language on the internet all around the world during the given period.
Firstly, all the languages other than English were becoming incrementally important on
the internet. There was an extremely huge surge in demand for Arabic and Chinese languages.
For example, amid 2000 and 2010 there was even more than 2500% increase of the Arabic users,
whereas the number of the Chinese users almost reached the English language ones.
Furthermore, quite an astonishing trend is that the Russian language popularity also rose
dramatically from 2000 to 2010. One possible reason for such results could be the significant
development of Russia after the USSR had collapsed. It was even likely that if the demand of
Russian had not stopped it would have caught the number of people who use Arabic on the web.
Another popular language on the internet was Spanish with more than 150 million users, making
it the third most dominant one. The trend was optimistic for Spanish language and there was a
steady growth of the usage.
To conclude, it is clear that until 2010 English language remained the most popular language on
the internet, howewer compared with the other languages‘ growth, English one was pretty
gloomy.
