Task – 1

Answer:
Integrity simply means being honest and doing the right thing. It plays
an important role on the way of successful and happy life. And academic
integrity means having integrity while doing assignments, essays and in the
examinations. Basically, academic integrity is making sure that all the work
we submit is our own, and is properly cited and references are used. A
person with integrity means s/he is trust worthy. Whatever s/he is doing is a
right thing and his/her behavior is compatible with the belief, everyone
trusts him/her. Being trust worthy and honest develops a good reputation in
every step of our life. A degree with academic integrity is more valued than
degree without it. Companies and organizations mostly hire those
individuals who have high personal integrity because they want someone
who is honest and trust worthy to their organization and to achieve
organizational goals by doing the right thing.

There are many breaches for academic integrity like: copying others
assignments, paying someone to do assignment, resubmitting the
assignment etc and for those students who breaks the academic integrity
they have to face the penalties like:

a) Students might get suspended.

b) Students might have to redo the assignments.
c) Students might get failed.
d) Students might get excluded from the university.

Working with integrity makes our life less complicated and less stressful.
People will never compromise their value if they have integrity in both of
their personal and professional life.

According to Peterson and Kolb’s (2017) there are altogether nine
learning styles which are: Experiencing, Imagining, Reflecting, Analyzing,
Thinking, Deciding, Acting, Initiating and Balancing. Among these learning
styles I believe I belong to reflecting learning style. Based on Peterson and
Kolb’s (2017) reflecting learning style includes people who are patient,
careful, a good listener, studies problems and collects information from
different sources. In my case while solving a problem I always listen and
value others idea and take time to make my own decision. I analyze every

The ability of understanding, determining, recognizing, identifying and
justifying the relation among ideas is known as critical thinking. To be a
critical thinker we should understand and analyze what we hear, read and
visualize than decide for a solution to a problem rather than doing same as
always without a homework. To further our knowledge and develop skills as
a student we should be acritical thinker by keeping things simple and doing
many research and asking questions to make sure we’ve gathered all the
information. As a critical thinker we should let go what we believe and
embrace a new information and never assume ourselves right because we
might not know others perception.

Answer:

Models of Business Communication

Communication is a procedure of transmission of information from
one person to another. The process of sending information in such a way
that the message received is close in meaning as possible to the planned
message is known as effective communication. One of the important and
pervasive part of the manager's world is "Communication".

The process of communication includes sender's encoding meaning,

transferring the message to the one or more receiver, who decodes it into
the meaning. Two-way communication is the process of continuing the
same roles but in the reversed form. Interpersonal communication takes
place among a small number of people. Two types of interpersonal
communication are written and oral. With both pros and cons. Not only oral
and written, some nonverbal communication comprises body movement,
facial expression, gestures, physical contact, tone and inflection, etc.
Therefore, a manager must focus on the advantages and disadvantages of
each while choosing a method of communication.

Communication is a necessary pattern among the members of

a team or group work. There are vertical communications that flows upward
or downward between high-level and low-level superiors and subordinates.
On the other hand, horizontal communication includes colleagues and
peers at the same level in the firm. Information system are also used to
manage the communication by the organizations. There can be intense
effect on organizational and managerial communication with the help of
electronic communication. Informal communication can also be a part of an
organization. The grapevine communication is the purest form of informal
communication in the workplace.

Recognizing barriers of communication is very necessary for

managing the communication process by overcoming the obstacle and
understanding the true importance of effective communication. The
identification of the barriers can be done both in individual or organizational
level of any business. Thus, both individual and organizational skills and
strengths can be used to make the business communication more effective
and efficient.
