Question:

How is your project going? It is harder or easier to accomplish than you imagined?
What makes it harder or easier and why? Would you change any aspect of it, knowing what
you know now? What parts would you change or not change?

Response:

So far my project is going well, though I haven’t made an incredible amount of progress
thus far. Instead, a lot of the past week has been a lot of brainstorming as to how I am going to
bring together a final project together. I initially approached the topic by setting up a meeting
with myself and Stephen.

During this meeting, I threw a couple of ideas his way, and tried to take in as much
input as possible. Some of my ideas included a detailed long form brief of all the research I'll
have conducted over the course of my internship, or a recording of some of the hands on out
reach I am going to get the chance to do over the next couple of weeks. Stephen seemed to
agree that these were workable ideas, but after our meeting and putting some thought to both,
I ended up settling on the long form brief.

Now having settled on what I was going to work on, this past week I’ve begun to
compile some of the research and short form briefs I have sent to Stephen in the past. I could
try and answer questions such as “would I change any aspect of my project,” or “what makes
it harder or easier,” but truth be told I’m still in the beginning stages so there is not much to go
off of yet. What I will say is that I anticipate this project to be a challenge. Learning the memo/
brief format during EDTHP 394 was hard enough, but I think I did an alright job getting the
hang of it. Extending the format to a longer form writing sample is just something I have never
done before, and I’m sure as I begin to piece together my writing, I will encounter road bumps
along the way. To help make the process go smoothly, I intend on keeping in contact with you
and Stephen so that if any questions arise I get helpful advice, and eventually get a product
worth saving for the future.
