Self Evaluation

A.What did you learn from this assignment? What were your strengths in completing the
project(i.e.,research,organization,delivery)? Your weaknesses
(i.eWhat specific things do you need to improve?)

For this specific assignment, I learned the importance of looking into character
background. My strengths in this project I feel like was getting the group to debate a
certain idea or discuss different perspectives. In terms of weaknesses, I feel like I didn’t
look far enough into the text, because I spent too much time focusing on that one
section.

B What did you do to prepare for this project (go into detail)? What were your
research/writing/practice sessions like? What challenges did you face (include working
w/your group if applicable)?

A thing that really helped me prepare for the project actually happened last
semester. In my acting 2 class, we had watched A Streetcar Named Desire and did a
deep dive on motives and tactics for one of the scenes. That prior knowledge really
helped me with this project. Our research that we had in class consisted of having
discussions and using research to aid us in getting a deeper, more solid answer. We
had a difficult time starting the project out, but once we got into the groove of it, we were
able to get the hang of it.

C. What were your goals for your project? Explain what you will do differently during
your work sessions next time to make improvements?

Our goals for this project was to answer each question in a way that was thought
provoking and well discussed. I feel like thing would go a bit easier if we were to start
doing research a bit earlier in the process.
D. How did the audience respond to your project? Did they learn what you wanted them
to learn? How do you know? If you could do your project over again, how would you
change your content? Your delivery?

I think that the audience responded well to our project. Each of our group
members that has gone on the panel so far has provided well thought out information,
as well as good clarifying questions. I can tell that the audience learned what we said
when they were able to build upon our comments. If I were to re-do our project, I would
have put an equal amount of focus on the rest of the show, as we did with the section
that we were assigned in class. I also would have provided more commentary whenever
I was on the panel.

E. How well did you achieve your overall goals that you stated at the start of the
Semester? What specifically needs to change for you to achieve these
Goals?

This assignment isn’t three days late, so that’s a win for me. I also provided a
good amount of conversational discussions during class. If I really want to get to my
goal better, I need to turn this assignment in preferably sooner, and I want to do more
independent research and provide more answers in the panel.
