Documentation Signs on the engine room door

1. Scope of design:

This Technical Instruction specifies the type and placement of safety signs on the engine room door. You
must also be aware of and comply with the relevant official instructions regarding the posting of signs.

2. Operating area sign / Safety sign:

The pictograms are explained in full in the safety instructions.

If the fuel gas contains C0, the following


pictogram must also be placed.
Take into account the results of the gas analyses!

The signs can be ordered from GE Jenbacher.

3. Placement:

All doors leading to the engine room must be marked with an operating area sign or provided with a
safety sign.
Signs must be located on the upper half of the engine room door. In certain cases, they may be located
at the same height and within the area extending 80 cm [31.5 in] from the opening.
