EQUIPMENT:
Equipment and systems covered by this certificate are as follows:

The CCE01U (one contact) and CCE01D (two contacts) flameproof enclosures for series MA and TAH instruments is intended to contain one
or two microswitches and a terminal block used to electrically connect them to an external control circuit.
The enclosure is to be used in conjunction with elements sensitive to pressure or temperature that are mounted externally. The external
sensing elements operate on the microswitches by the flameproof joint (operating rod). This is basically moved by: 
  • a metal diaphragm that flexes if exposed to fluid process pressure (in case of pressure switches with medium or low setting ranges) (MA,
MAB);
  • a metal diaphragm that flexes when operated by a force that is generated by an O-R leaktight piston exposed to fluid process pressure (in
case of pressure switches with high setting ranges) (MAH);
  • a metal diaphragm that flexes when operated by a force that is generated by an O-R leaktight piston exposed to filling fluid pressure set
between the O-R tightness and a sealing diaphragm on which process pressure operates (in case of pressure switches with high setting
ranges and gaseous process) (MAHG);
  • a metal diaphragm that flexes if exposed to pressure generated by the saturated vapor of a volatile liquid (in case of temperature switches)
(TAH).

Within the equipment there is a partition wall element on the border between zone 0 (20) and zone 1 (21), which is made up of a measuring
diaphragm and a natural ventilation opening. There is only mechanical part inside the Zone 0 (20).
These enclosures get the degrees of protection IP66 according to the IEC 600529 standard.

SPECIFIC CONDITIONS OF USE: YES as shown below:

 - Due to the thickness less than 1mm of the membrane, the user should take into consideration that the equipment shall not be subject to
environmental conditions which might adversely affect the partition membrane

 - The width of the flameproof joints is superior than the values specified in the tables of 60079-1 standard.

ROUTINE EXAMINATIONS AND TESTS

In accordance with § 16.2 of the IEC 60079-1 standard, the equipment defined above is exempted
of routine test in owing to the fact that it has undergone a static type test at 4 times the
reference pressure under 40 bar for ambient down to -60°C.
