Evidence: The time is now

This evidence is divided into two parts: A composition and an audio file. Read the
instructions below and make sure you complete both tasks.

A. Answer the questions below. Use the examples as models of the grammar and
vocabulary you have to use.
 1. Why didn’t you study English before? (List at least 5 reasons in a
composition.
1)The main reason of why I didn't study English before was because there
were no economic resources, so I studied what the high school offered.

2) I had no reason to learn English, I was not interested and didn't have the
need.

3) I didn't understand my English teacher at school and that was frustrating,

she didn’t have the skills to educate, also she was like rude with all the grade."

4)another reason was that by the me I was in high school, everything has
Spanish instructions, so there was no need to learn English

5) I didn't study English before because I wasn't too good to learn foreign

languages

2. How differents would things be if you had learned English before? (Name
and explain at least 5 things.)

1 If I had learned English before, I would have gone to the US or to another

country where the main language was English

2 If I had learned English before, now I would be an English teacher at SENA,

or in other instructor in colombia.

3 If I had learned English before, I would be working as a translator for a

private agency, giving information about the touristic places in colombia."

4) If I had learned English before, that would been so helpful to achieve my

personal goals at the university.

5)If I had learned English before, probably I would have my c2 English

certification

B. Record an audio file of yourself answering the following questions. Use the
examples as models of the grammar and vocabulary you have to use.

1. Why are you studying English? (List and explain at least 4 reasons.)
Because learning English is a personal goal! and I want to get a "better job”! And
one of the requirements of the Laboral field is to have any English certification and
finally I study English because I really like that language.

3. In what ways are you going to benefit from this learning?

At the time it is great importance to know English, since it is a universal language

and most companies request it, and it is something that will helpful to me in my
personal and work life.
