Owl Laptop Sleeve

Supplies:
5 yarn colors less than one skein each. (body color, wing color, beak color, and
two eye colors white and pupil color)
Size G Hook
Yarn Needle
Laptop or laptop measurements to
check for fit.

Body:
(make one) worked in the round
using ‘body color’

Ch. 33
1. 2sc in second ch from hook, 1sc
in each of the next 30 sts, 4sc
in last ch turning work to work in the other side of the ch sts, 1 sc in
each of the next 30 sts, 2 sc in beginning ch, sl st to join. (68 sc)
2. Ch 1, 2 sc in next 2 sts, 1 sc in each of the next 34 sts, 2 sc in each of
the next 4 sts to turn corner, 1 sc in each of the next 34 sts, 2 sc in
each of the next 2 sts. Sl st to join. (84 sts)
3. Working in front loops only sl st in each sc around
4. Working in back loops of row 2, sc in each st around, join with sl st
5. sc in each st around, join with sl st
6. through 70. Repeat row 5. Finish final row with sl sts.
***to adjust width simply increase/decrease chs, to height repeat row 2, add
an increase on the corners, to adjust length, add additional sc rows.

Wings
Make Two
Ch 4
1. 5dc in fourth ch from hook
2. ch 3, turn, (counts as first dc), dc, 2dc in next 5 sts. (12 dc)
3. ch 3, turn (counts as first dc), 2 dc in next dc, (dc in nect dc, 2 dc in
next dc) 5x (18 dc)
4. ch 3, turn, (counts as first dc), dc in nect dc, 2 dc in next dc, (dc in
next 2 sts, 2dc in next st) 5x (24 dc)
5. Continue in this manner until your wings look proportionate to the owl
body. Mine are 11 rows.
6. Sl around, fasten off.

Eyes
(Make Two) Worked in the round
Magic Loop to start using ‘pupil’ yarn.
1. 6 sc in ml, join with sl st and tighten.
2. Ch 1, (1 sc, 2 sc in next st) around,
join with sl st
3. Ch 1, (2 sc, 2 sc in next st) around,
join with sl st
4. Change to white yarn Ch1, (3 sc, 2 sc
in next st) around, join with sl st
5. Ch 1, (4 sc, 2 sc in next st) around,
join with sl st
6. Ch 1, (5 sc, 2 sc in next st) around,
join with sl st
7. Ch 1, (6 sc, 2 sc in next st) around,
join with sl st
8. Sl st around. Fasten off.
Beak
Ch 2
1. 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook, turn
2. ch 1, 2 sc each ch, fasten off.

Joining
Use a yarn needle to join pieces as pictured, when completing the wings
create little pockets by only attaching as shown below. Begin at sun shape
and stitch down and around to moon shape.
