Module 2

Nestor Hadi
9:24 AM
Can we ask student to turn on their camera during their test taking online?
Ruby Jean Sansawi
9:26 AM
Examination should still be considered as it helps every teacher to assess students' learning. However,
we need to give more focus on what students need to learn rather than what grade students need to gain.
merlyne villorente
9:32 AM
Doc, with High school students, what is the ideal length of time for synchronous meeting ?
Loue Joseph
9:33 AM
In the Basic Ed. Would it be okay if we will also be dividing the subject offerings by semester like core
subject will be taught in the first sem, while skills subjects will be in the second sem. so that at least in a
week they will only focus to 4 or 5 subjects..what do you think po?
Mark Adrian Samillano
9:33 AM
May I ask lang po, how many times should we meet our student or have an online class in a week?
Iren Nova Grace Deferia
9:34 AM
In our practice in our school, 1 teacher is handling more than 1 grade level, for example an English
teacher may handle English 7,8,9, and 10, which is mostly compose of 30 more students in a class, can
you give us some advice on how handle this in an ODL? thanks
Christine Joy Ballada
9:34 AM
We need to make students feel our presence during both synchronous and asynchronous sessions.
Famela Barairo
9:35 AM
Thank you po Bro. Hans, Dr. Ballada, and Sir Arvie. :-)
JIJIE GARZON DAGUIA
9:35 AM
Good Morning everyone this is the first time we will be using ODL I am just worried of the students who
will be left behind during synchronous and asynchronous learning because of the intermittent signal ,for
most of our students are coming from a far flung area....Any practices they can share to help us in this
case thank you and God Bless!
Hazel May Ninalga Biasong
9:36 AM
my question is, how do we do the quarterly assessment? should we do it synchronously or
asynchronously? pls enlighten us. thanks =)
Christine Barrozo
9:36 AM
Good morning po, how can we completely remove or avoid any biases when we opt to use peer
assessment strategies?
Mark Joseph Reyes
9:37 AM
can we consider peer reviews and teacher feedback as collaborative learning?
Remalyn Planas
9:40 AM
During Face to Face class, some students have lack of interest to study or participate well in their class,
How can we avoid that in Online Learning?
Nestor Hadi
9:41 AM
I agree with conducting synchronous class at least once a week in order to let the students feel that they
are being monitored and make them feel the teacher's presence. Since online learning is giving the
students freedom to learn on their own or independent study mode, then we must also give them trust
and responsibility on their own actions.
Iren Nova Grace Deferia
9:42 AM
Thank you so much for answering my question, Dr. Christine, Sir Arvie and Bro Hans.
Benjie Abrenica
9:43 AM
Does ODL is applicable for those students who are in the rural area or in a place where signal is difficult?
if it is so, how are we going to assess them?
Famela Barairo
9:45 AM
Future proof schools...:-)
Mark Joseph Reyes
9:46 AM
aside from peer reviews can you give examples of collaborative activities in ODL?
Nestor Hadi
9:46 AM
That's true. Those class jesters become more succesfull and richer in the future. While those who were
always on top of their class (some) are just ordinary employees, very few made it really good.
Ken
9:47 AM
Can we consider smart phones as a technological requirements in ODL? Is it sufficient? What if they do
not meet the requirements such as laptops?
Christine Joy Ballada
9:48 AM
Sir Danny: Use modular distance learning
Apple Vasquez
9:48 AM
Good morning Doc Christine and Bro. Han, what about the subject or program that is learning facilitated
outside the classroom like Social Action Program or Outreach Program./ Parish Involvement? How can
we modify it? How can we apply ODL to it since students have the limitation of going out?
Jose Dizon
9:49 AM
Kami here in our school in pilar since 100% of our students have facebook i designed a method and
shared it to my co teachers on how to use facebook as virtual classroom aside from our LMS.
Mark Joseph Reyes
9:49 AM
In provinces like ours, where there is scarcity of internet connections and most of the students rely on
data connection, asynchronous activities would work better.
Famela Barairo
9:50 AM
Yes ma'am, we are doing now modules for our students with internet connectivity issues
Rafael Guillermo
9:52 AM
I think it is important to ask and assess the availability of internet connection during enrollment, suggest
and recommend to parents what's best for their child whether to have modular or online.
Jayvee Macaraig
9:52 AM
Good Morning po. To Sir Danilo, Sir, how will you implement the modular approach in your school? Is it
the teachers who will deliver the modules to the students? Or will the parents pick up the module at
school? And then, how are we going to monitor the student's progress? Do we need to conduct home
visitation? If yes, how often? Thanks sir.
dianne gutierrez
9:52 AM
In our school po, we give them modules, and we require them to have a flashdrive, so that, we, teachers
can save our recorded online teaching on their flashdrive for them to watch
Mark Adrian Samillano
9:52 AM
May I ask po, In some private school po we have "gifted" students, how are we going to deal with them if
some of them are hyperactive?
Anita Rodolfa
9:53 AM
What is the impact of self-regulation in ODL?
Edel Mae Opena
9:53 AM
Our plan po in our school is to collaborate with the LGU and brgy officials in the distribution of modules
especially sa classes na may students from other municipalities po.
Danilo Montoy
9:53 AM
WE in the Notre Dame of Masiag, Inc. we are planning to have a Blended Modality between modular and
online learning.
Pauline Coligado
9:53 AM
It is also important that we assure our students and parents that we are present and we are available
even if they are on modules.

Google Extension for checking attendance
Ruby Jean Sansawi
9:53 AM
Ma'am Dianne I agree with you.
Cresyl Figuracion
9:54 AM
How can we address students with special needs or learning deficiencies in asynchronous and
synchronous learning sessions?
Danilo Montoy
9:55 AM
Yes Bro. Hans we are trying to use Google Forms in checking attendance.
Nestor Hadi
9:55 AM
Modular instruction would serve the purpose for those students who are technology challenged or have
poor connectivity with Internet or live in far flung areas.
Mark Joseph Reyes
9:56 AM
there should be an orientation for parents specially in elementary and high school where their roles in the
education of their children specially in ODL should be emphasized.
Nestor Hadi
9:57 AM
Parents participation in assessment. (1) School policy regarding this must be on hand. (2) Orientating
parents about assessment. (3) Clarify the extent of their participation in assessment (4) Webinar for
parents.
Mark Joseph Reyes
9:58 AM
I think parents can also be involved in giving feedbacking.
Joana Marie Mateo
9:59 AM
Good morning Mam Christine yesterday we have our virtual demo and one of the concern iafter the demo
s the checking of attendance especially when you are presenting it looks like you need to check if your
students are still with you from time to time. Is this link can automatically check the attendance from the
beginning up to the end mam?
Junrey Bernados
9:59 AM
Good morning... I want to ask if where could we access the recorded conference?
mary claire academy
10:00 AM
Just like in traditional learning environments, a parent’s role and impact on student success is both critical
and apparent. Parents serve as a coach for their students, at any age, and support them through their
learning process.
Hazel Pangan
10:01 AM
During synchronous discussion, do the parents are allowed to ask questions to the teacher?
Hazel May Ninalga Biasong
10:01 AM
my question is, how do we do the quarterly assessment? should we do it synchronously or
asynchronously? pls enlighten us. thanks =)
Mark Joseph Reyes
10:03 AM
yes brother I agree. that would be good to save time and effort for the teachers and students as well.

How about those parents po who answer their children’s activities?
Christine Joy Ballada
10:10 AM
@Joana: I'm not so sure about this. Will have to check because this is a new Google Chrome extension.
King's Doulos
10:10 AM
As to whether parents can join or ask questions during online class, it should be addressed clearly during
parents' orientation i.e the limitations.
