The test pit logs document a geotechnical investigation for proposed construction in Buhigwe District, Kigoma Region. Three test pits were dug, each consisting of topsoil layers of brownish silty clay between 230-240cm deep. Below this was reddish silty clay between 870-910cm deep. The bottom layer for all three pits was reddish clayey gravels between 320-350cm deep.
