Evidence: describing cities and places / Evidencia: Describiendo

ciudades y lugares

You are going to see images of five cities and their landmarks. Choose two of
them to make an oral presentation. Write a paragraph describing the city and
country it belongs and the landmark shown. Make a video in which you expose
the same information given in the paragraphs in around 5 minutes. Use the
vocabulary from the box for the descriptions. The first one is done for you as an
example. Finally, you must add the references used for this evidence/ A

Escoja dos de ellos para hacer una presentación oral. Escriba un párrafo
describiendo cada ciudad, el país al que pertenece y el lugar mostrado. Haga
un vídeo en el cual exponga la misma información dada en los párrafos en
aproximadamente 5 minutos. Use el vocabulario dentro del recuadro para las
descripciones. La primera ha sido hecha como ejemplo. Finalmente, debe
incluir las referencias usadas para esta evidencia.

New York is a big city in the United

States (North America). It takes
thousand of visitors every year. The
city has a population of around 8
million people. There is a lot to see
and do in New York. You can visit
the Central Park, the Metropolian
museum and Time’s Square. In the
picture you can see the Statue of
Liberty, a monument built between
1875 and 1986. It is 93 meters tall.
The statue is located on Liberty
Island in the Hudson River.

Ipiales (Colombia) – Las Lajas Sanctuary
Cusco is a city In the southeast
of Perú, it is the capital of the
department of Cusco and it is
the historical capital of the
country.
It has monuments that are part
of its historical charm.
Machu Pichu is located in the
Cusco region, 80 kilometers
from the Cusco.
It is considered a Peruvian
historical sanctuary since 1981
and declaraded one of the 7
wonders of the world.
Ipiales is a small city in
Colombia in the department of
Nariño, close to Ecuador. This
city is known for having a
cathedral. The city has a
population of around 200
thousand people.
The cathedral is the sanctuary of
our lady of las lajas and is
recognized for being a tourist
and pilgrimage site since the 18 th
century.
The sanctuary is located in the
canyon of the Guáitara river

When you finish your work, send the file to your instructor through the platform
