You are going to see images of five cities and their landmarks. Write a
paragraph describing each city and country it belongs and the landmark shown.
Use the vocabulary from the box for the descriptions. The first one is done for

New York is a big city in the

visitors every year. The city
has a population of around 8
million people. There is a lot
to see and do in New York.
You can visit the Central Park,
the Metropolian museum and
Time’s Square. In the picture
you can see the Statue of
Liberty, a monumet built
between 1875 and 1986. It is
93 meters tall. The statue is
located on Liberty Island in
New York (USA) – The Statue of Liberty
the Hudson River.

Sydney (Australia) – The Sydney Opera

Rome is the capital of Italy. The
city has a population of
approximately 2.9 million
inhabitants. In Italy is the great
channel of Venice where you
can ride on boats. The
architecture of Ancient Rome is
probably one of the most
significant testimonies of Roman
culture. Rome has a long
tradition buildings. In the photo,
you can see St. Peter's Square,
a square in front of the cathedral

is an Egyptian Obelisk.
Sydney is the largest city in
Australia. Is found in
It is located on the south east
coast of the country in the state
of New South Wales and
functions as the capital of this
state, not the country.

Stone of Destiny, which was
used in the coronation of
Scotland's rulers. Scotland has
many mountains and hills to
people who likes to go hiking. In

Dubai is the capital of one of the

seven Emirates that make up the
United Arab Emirates. Dubai is
at the tip of the Arabian
peninsula.

been attracting visitors from all
over the world since it opened in
2010. This magnificent building

Khalifa those who contemplate it to
imagine new possibilities.
