My hometown is Medellín. Medellín is the capital of Antioquia, and it is an important city
of Colombia for its tourism and trade. Medellín is known for its climate, its food, the culture and the friendliness of its habitants. Medellín is a very diverse and cultural city. There are two important museums as: “Museo de Arte Moderno” and “Museo de Antioquia”, and other place is “Parque Botero” ubicated in the Medellín downtown that show important works of the artist Fernando Botero. Other important places are: “Jardín Botánico” a place surrounded by nature, “Parque Explora” an interactive science museum and “Parque Norte” an amusement park. All these places mentioned are perfect to spend with friends or family. Another important aspect is its good transportation system. The Medellín Metro connects the entire city, also has a public bicycle system and this makes it a modern and ecological city. Medellín also has its negative aspects. Robberies are frequent crimes in the city, also because of drug trafficking there is violence in the neighborhoods of Medellín. There is also political corruption, and this causes a terrible health care system and poor budget distributions for public universities. I like my city, its climate, the variety of places to visit and the variety of restaurants. Before quarantine, I liked to go to the "Parque Lleras" to enjoy parties with my friends. I like my city, and I love its people, because they are so happy, solidary and hard-working.
