I am Yesica Paola Palomo, Im from Mariquita, Tolima, I was born on Mar 29, 1984, Im studying Business Administration at CEAD Mariquita, I belong to the group 44, I love my country and I am proud of being Colombian and belong to this beautiful land. COLOMBIA, THEIR CULTURE AND PEOPLE Colombia, as a privileged country within the global context, it has one of the largest aquifers in the world, with countless animal and plant species, with mineral resources such as coal, oil and emeralds. Colombia is one of the leading coffee producers worldwide, the variety of cultures and customs gave rise to rich Colombian folklore, its exquisite cuisine and its many cultural manifestations. It's amazing culture of Colombia and its people; it is a conservative country since Colonial times, has a natural beauty and is referred to as a country historian.

Colombians love the good life and in our cities manifests a dynamic culture, according to the international trends. Proofs of this are the International festival of Film and the Hay Festival of Cartagena, the Manizales Theatre Festival of Manizales, the International fair of Book and the Festival de Jazz of Bogot, the International Poetry Festival of Medellin. Our capital cities are on the track of the best DJ's in the world. Our museums have significant collections of world art; fashion events enjoy an excellent reputation worldwide and proliferate gay nightclubs and fine restaurants. Our handicrafts are appreciated worldwide: the rucksack Arawak of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, the vueltiao hat of the plains Cordoba, San Jacinto hammock in Bolivar, lacquer objects of Pasto in Nario, Rquira Ceramic in Boyac. Bogota has become an attractive tourist destination. It is a modern city that offers an excellent quality of life. Medellin is the epicenter of textile design and production, landmark fashion and is known for the friendliness of its people and the beauty of its women. In the south is Cali, it is cheerful and salsa. Their women compete in the charm and beauty with the Medellin. Cartagena adds to the charm of its colonial architecture, republican and modern, the attractions of a vibrant nightlife, cultural festivals, lush landscapes, beautiful beaches, good food and an important tourist infrastructure. It is pleasant to walk the streets and see the colonial buildings, the Palace of the Inquisition, the Clock Tower, the walls and the Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas, while enjoying the warm breeze and quiet from its parks and squares.

The academic excellence of our colleges and universities and the presence of hospitals with high-tech equipment, staffed by international specialists, are increasingly attracting foreign visitors. The physical infrastructure of large cities has been modernized with efficient mass transport systems, wide boulevards and large parks are a natural lung for the enjoyment of all people.
