 WHAT IS THE AIM OF THE GAME?

The whole game plays around improving your

English, by expanding it through experience.

Each team works, by using English as a means

of communication, towards earning points and
winning the game.

In this online game, on the Desert Island,

there are 3 groups striving to reach B2,
fighting one another and trying to
survive: the Simply Marooned, the Pirates
4 Dessert and the Pure Cannibals.

HOW IS THE GAME PLAYED?

The game is an online game, where points
are earned through doing tasks together.
Each group or team work collaboratively
to solve tasks with special emphasis on
listening and speaking skills, gaining
points and advantages.

HOW DOES DIG WORK?

The flow of communication is down-up

as groups attempt to improve their
fluency as well as other aspects of their
language learning. And, at the same
time, up-down as the stronger help the
weaker gamers improve, all the while
reflecting on their own use of English.

WHO ARE THE GAMERS (PLAYERS)?
In this kind of game, all the gamers are
either working toward Cambridge First,
CAE, Proficiency or equivalent IELTS.
Plus, most are either doing their BA, MA
or Phd and/or working as doctors,
lawyers, etc.
HOW MANY ACTIVITIES ARE PER DAY?
It is your call. No strings attached. That is
why it is free in every sense of the term.
Each gamer stipulate how much time and
which tasks they can do according to the
dynamics within their own schedule and
limitations. There is no fix daily task.
HOW DO WE KNOW WE ARE WINNING?
There is a DIG Scoreboard, with the tasks,
task information, number and date, as well
as how many points each team has at any
given time.
