Optional: A Course in Mondern Geometries by Judith N. Cederberg

Material Covered: The first part of the course will deal with Non-Euclidean Geometry, focusing
on axiomatic systems, finite projective planes, and finite affine planes. The second part of the
course will deal with the use of vectors and matrices to obtain results in Euclidean Geomety, with
particular emphasis on translations and rotations.

Grading Percentages: Quizzes (15% total)


2 Tests (25% each)
Final (35%)

Grading Scale: A score of 90% or above will be an A


a score of at least 87 % will be at least a B+
a score of at least 80 % will be at least a B
a score of at least 77 % will be at least a C+
a score of at least 70 % will be at least a C
a score of at least 67 % will be at least a D+
a score of at least 60 % will be at least a D
a score of less than 60 % will be an F
