Blessing in Disguise

“A child with special needs is a child indeed.” A mother

once said. Children with special needs are not gruesome,
ferocious, and lustful beasts. They are pure, wonderful,
auspicious, efficient, affable, and exceptional children.

Even if they have special needs, they are special in their

own way. It doesn’t mean if a child is special or have
abnormalities, they can’t show their talents and skills. Every child
should show their capabilities, its God’s present.

Although, you might think it’s their fault on why their

special. You’re dead wrong, they were born abnormal. These are
some reasons why their born abnormal: drug exposure, infection,
radiation, and improper lifestyle of the mother. In some cases, we
can’t blame the mother, whether it’s in the genes or because of
the husband. However, sometimes, they are born very healthy and
the mother infers he/she is normal but really it’s abnormal.

Let’s meet Clarence Jade Magbanua, a SPED student in

Surallah Central Elementary School and SPED Center. He was
conceived in Lariosa Clinic and Hospital in Surallah, South
Cotabato on October 19, 2009. So that means he is currently nine,
but he’ll turn 10 on October 19.

Hearing a statement from his previous teacher was indeed

an accomplishment. “I like him because he is a fast-learner, and
he is funny at times.” Teacher Rhea said in an honored voice. She
even added, “When he learned to write and read, I was really
joyous.” Teacher Rhea said in a revealing way.

Clarence is an outstanding honor student, he deserves

appreciation of such effort. He’s also good at writing and reading.
Needless to say, Clarence is indeed special in his own way. He is
a gift from God, he needs to be protected.

It’s certain that if you were his classmate, he’d be a cool

one. Since he is such a humorous, and slick guy. Despite his
special needs, he managed to be an elated kid in such a way.

A child with special needs or abnormalities has skills and

talents like no other. They are peculiar in their own way. Like
Clarence, he’s a fast-learner. A special child is a blessing in
disguise.
