 WHAT IS FSSAI ?

• The Food Safety and Standards

Authority of India (FSSAI) certificate
has now become mandatory for all
manufacturers, traders, restaurants
and those who are involved in food
business, commonly termed as Food
Business Operators (FBOs). Therefore,
any organized food manufacturing or
processing or packaging or distributing
entity is now required to obtain a
FSSAI License before commencing
business.
 How to apply FSSAI Registration?
• For License: personal e-mail ID and Mobile Number which
should be kept active. FBO’s are required to have a valid

 How to submit Application ?
• 1. Application should be submitted to the State Authority/Regional Office
of Food Safety and Standards of India, within fifteen days from the date of
submission of application online. (i.e.) If date of submission of application
online is 18th March 2017, then the last date of submission of application
along with fee and supportive documents.
• 2. Print out of Online form is mandatory as a part of the appliance
submitted. Your application won't be accepted and processed without the
web form .
• 3. For fees and supportive documents required to be submitted as a part
of the appliance , please ask Fee structure and Documents Checklist links
provided at login page.
