PACIBE, Lyza Jocelle C. How Social Media can make a History?

Social media is now part of one’s life. Actually, it seems you are not living in a
society when you do not know how to use social media, that is why people continued to
use social media as one of their needs. But, people didn’t see how social media change
one’s life and how it makes a history.
In a modern world now, we never missed a chance to see many people tapping
on the screen of their cellphones. This is one of the main reasons, why many people
have been a victim of robbery, accident, etc. We may see how the world changed as
social media invented. In fact, one click and one touch in social media matters a lot; it
may affect someone’s life, perspective, and lifestyles. It seems like we are now in a
transparent society. Why? It’s because everything we do, we posted in social media.
We were driven by the fact that social media is a must habit to all of us that is why, we
lose our own spot of seeing the real world because we are always focused on what has
been posted. See how social media changed everyone. Sadly, we became a very
opened-person where we impulsively accept the changes in society without criticizing it
and we are feared to become an out-of-place person in this society. Social media really
makes a history through its label of being undeleted in many eyes. We can delete posts,
but we can’t delete how people saw and read the post and worst we can’t delete the fact
on how someone was offended.
I therefore conclude that, social media can be considered a history because once
it has been shared, it would never change. Hence, a careful posting must be done to
avoid any mistakes. In social media, we will not only think on our own feelings but also
other’s feelings, because some might be offended or affected. For me, we should
balance on how many hours we will consume in using social media because everyday
,it became broader and many people became less productive. Social media has been
invented just for an entertainment and information giver, it was not invented to share
non-sense feelings and ideas. For this reason, we should know how to use social media
for it is what God wanted us to do; to do things properly and worth it.
