Roles & Responsibilities:

 Role 1- Project experience

o Basic engineering – Preparation of Single line diagram, Transformer Sizing Calculation, Cable
sizing calculation, I/O list Preparation, Earthing & Lightning Calculation, Preparation of
Overall Cable Routing layout, Preparation of Power & Control cable schedule for entire plant
etc.

o Detailed engineering- Electrical Equipment Layout of substations, Earthing & Lightning

Layouts, Lighting layouts, Preparation of interconnection diagram, Cable Tray Layout etc.

o Preparation of Technical Specification for all the bought-out items like Transformer, LT, HT
Motors, HT & LT Switchgear (up to 6.6kV), Bus-duct, Electrical Panels for different
 mechanical & electrical equipment’s, VFD with Converter Transformer (12 Pulse) up to 8.4
MW motor, HT & LT Power Cable, Control & signal Cable etc.

o Proposal Engineering (including BOQ generation & costing), attending pre-bid meetings,
Preparation of technical offer, electrical write-up, SLD, datasheet and other
drawings/documents required for the technical offer for upcoming projects

 Role 2- COMMISSIONING EXPERIENCE: -

o Power Controlling Switchgear –33KV,6.6 KV & 0.415KV Switch Boards, PMCC’s / IMCC’s &
HT Switch Boards Comprising DOL Starters.

o Power & Distribution Transformers - Commissioning of: OFF Load Tap Changing
Transformers 33KV/ 6.6KV (up to 16 MVA)

o Protective Relay setting and Co-ordination and Operation of: -Numerical Relays, SEPAM
SIPROTEC, Electromagnetic and Electromechanical Relays, UMC100

o Industrial Motor drives / VFD’s, Commissioning of: - LT Motors up to 200 KW (415 V),HT
(6.6KV) Motors up to 8.8 MW,Variable frequency drives ACS550.ACS850, ACS6000etc.

o Commissioning of Pump house Area: - Commissioning of ATLAS COPCO ZH400 model 3 nos
of compressors, DAIKEN 75TR Chillers,20Pump water system, 10Nos of AHU, 5 Nos of
FCU,etc.

 Role 3- MAINTENANCE EXPERIENCE: -

 Transformers Maintenance- Maintenance of 16MVA, 11MVA,2MVA, Convertor

transformer. Maintenance mainly include checking Temperature Indicators, Conservator,
Buchholz Relay- Oil Analysis, Resistance testing through bolted connections, Insulation-resistance
tests, winding to winding, and each winding to ground etc.
 HT/LT Panel maintenance and troubleshooting- 33kv Switchboard, 6.6Kv switchboard, PCC
panel, MCC, panel maintenance. Maintenance activity mainly include Vacuum circuit
breaker(VCB), VCU, tripping coil and closing coil checking, Power cable tightness,
checking control logic and relay setting. Numerical Relay used in our plant is mainly
SIPROTEC, SEPAM. HT/LT panel preventive and predictive maintenance, Avoiding
Breakdown maintenance.
 Instrumentation- Calibration of weigh feeder, Pressure transmitter, flow transmitter,
RTD, flow control valve, belt scales, load cells, level sensors, Pneumatic systems etc.
During maintenance we check mainly all parameters, range correction, zeroing and
span calibration if found error etc.
 Utility maintenance – Hands on Maintenance of HVAC systems like Chilled Water
System, Cooling Towers, Primary & Secondary pumping systems, Hot Water System,
Different types of AHUs, FCUs systems, DG, Boilers, Compressors, Dryers etc.
 TQM (Total quality management)- Working as TQM expert. During activity we have
implemented above 50 kaizen in sinter plant. I personally got Business Excellence
award two years consequently for excellent work in JH and Kaizen implementation.
  OEE / MTTR / MTBF- Involved in planned maintenance so as to increase OEE (overall
equipment effectiveness), Reduce MTTR, and increase MTBF. 100% compliance to
SAP PM notifications.
 Shift Reporting and manpower handling- During commissioning phase handled team of
20 people and currently working as shift in charge in same plant. Shift activity
include daily jobs as per SAP notification, Energy report analysis, reporting to HOD,
RCA (WHY-WHY Analysis, etc.,) is done for all major failures, break downs having
above 5Min delay in production.
 SOP and SMP and Safety- During routine work following SOP, SMP etc. Also following safety
procedure (Permit, LOTO, Height pass,) as per company policy.
 Shift activity- Completion of Pending jobs from logbook. Issue LOTO and PTW during shift with risk
assessment for all type of jobs. Giving safety training to subordinate and contract workers involved
in work during shutdown. Target to zero accident in shift. Zero Injury (LTI). Use of all required PPEs
while carrying out the job. Implementation of Good housekeeping practices and ensure that all
maintenance floors are maintained neat and clean.
 SAP- spares management of owned area, codification in SAP, issuing shift required material from
store, PR, PO etc
 ABB DCS- Hands on RIO wiring and building control logic in ABB DCS. DCS maintenance etc.
