Q 1. A company sells two different products A and B. The company makes a profit of Rs. 40 and 6*1=6
Rs. 30 per unit respectively on the two products. The products are produced by a common
production process and are sold in two different markets. The production process has a
capacity of 30000 man-hours. It takes 3 hours to produce a unit of product A and 1 hour of
product B. The market has been surveyed and company official found out that the maximum
units that can be sold for product A and B are 8000 and 12000 respectively. Formulate the
above as a Linear programming problem.

Q4. A product is produced by four factories A,B,C & D . The unit production costs in them are Rs. 2, 6*1=6
Rs. 3, Re. 1 & Rs. 5 respectively. Their production capacities are : factory A = 50 units, B=70 units,
C=30 units & D=50 units. These factories supply the product to four stores, demand of which are
25, 35, 105 & 20 units respectively. Unit transport cost in rupees from each factory to each store
is given in the table below :

Determine the extent of deliveries from each of the factories to each of the stores so that
the total production and transportation cost is minimum.
