1. There will be a total of 13 assignments. Student will be provided with a list of problems
from which the students may practice the problems beforehand.
2. All assignments starting from A4 to A13 are evaluative, each for 15 marks. (Refer
table 2 for topic wise information) For combined lab assignment, if any, batch in charge’s
policy of evaluation is applicable.
3. Assignments A1 to A3 are common for all sections and are not evaluative. Starting with
assignment A4, the section-in-charge (Refer to table 1 for the list of batch in-charge) will
announce four problems at the beginning of the lab class from the list provided.
4. The student will have to complete assignments in 1 hour 25 minutes. The last 25 minutes
will be devoted to the evaluation of the students. Also, while evaluating a particular
assignment, best three problems in the each assignment will be considered for evaluation.
5. The respective section-in-charge will take final decision in considering the student’s
make-up requests*. To address the case of makeup, the instructor will make necessary
arrangements with any another section in-charge and the students will be asked to go to
assigned section for make-up (Convenient lab section/date will be chose by section in-
charge. He/she will be given a fresh set of problems for the make-up assignment.

**In case of any other unavoidable personal matter, make up should be completed with in
the respective assignment completion time for all other batches. (Stick to the make -up
guide lines strictly)
6. Students may practice the assignment problems on the grid sheets at their places.
However, students are not allowed to bring such papers to lab class for direct
copying.
7. If student is found to be copying in a practical class (from other students or from grid
sheet) then that assignment will be awarded zero marks.
8. The student can consult instructors in practical class for any general doubts/query,
clarifications, etc. However, she/he shall not seek for any help in doing assignment
problems from TA’s or faculties.
