PRESENT SIMPLE AND PRESENT CONTINUOS (Tiempo presente simple y continuo)

Note: copy the following in your folders ( copier en la carpeta la clase de hoy)

Remember, recuerda:

We use the simple present tense to talk about daily routines ( el tiempo presente simple lo
usamos para hablar sobre nuestra rutina diaria o actividades que realizo)

Examples: I get up at 8 every day. ( me levanto a las 8)

Check the following ( mira lo que sigue) AFFIRMATIVE SENTENCES (Oraciones afirmativas
 With the personal pronouns He/she/it you add s/es to the verb ( le agregamos una s al
verbo cuando usamos los pronombres He/she/ it)

Example: My mum (she) cooks dinner every day. (mi mamá prepara la cena todos los días)
I order my bedroom every day.

I watch tv in the evening

you Play basketball with your friends
He Gets up at 8 a.m.
She Brushes her teeth early in the morning
It runs in the park every day
We Go to school at 8:30
you Have lunch at noon
They Go to bed at 10:30

REMEMBER: HE/SHE/IT + VERB + s/es

Check the following ( mira) INTERROGATIVE SENTENCES (oraciones interrogativas)

 Use Do/Does to make questions. (uso los auxiliares Do/Does para hacer preguntas)

Do you (I, we, they) play football every Does he (she/it) go to the park every
day? afternoon?
DO+ PRONOUN+VERB (infinitive)…? DOES+PRONOUN+VERB (infinitive)

Examples:

1. Do you get up early in the morning?

SHORT ANSWERS ( respuestas cortas)

-YES, I (you, we, they) do

-No, I (you/we/they) don´t

-Yes, he(she/it ) does
